From what I understand from sset, it is just photocopy. Not notarized copy since documents in the Philippines are normally written in English and does not require translation..

do we have to have the copies of the supporting documents (i.e. transcripts etc) to be sent to Sydney notarized?

But still i think it needs to be verified by notary that these r the true photocopies of the original docs. so even though its in English, needs to be attested by notary.

Yep I guess that's the safer path..

heads up for those new applicants for PR visa application thru CIO, please check out the new document checklist version 01-2012... work reference, diploma & transcripts of records are no longer required... maybe CIO has realized the redundancy of the required documents. I guess this is very favorable for the new applicants :)

For those couple na punta dito na ask ng estimate expenses a month. Eto po break down:

- $700 to 900 ( kasama na electricity and water) 1 bedroom apartment( may parang condo na apartment dito)
Trasportation -$77 per bus pass, unlimited ride sa bus
Food- $100 a month ( for 2)
Miscellaneous(cable, Internet,phone bills,etc) $100
Others(?) Kung mag cellphone ka siguro the least $25 a month

So less than or around $1.2k a month ok na or sobra pa..
Di ko include kain sa labas ha.. Grocery LNG yan.. Kain sa labas us from $5 to $15 per person

maraming salamat pinoy2manitoba for the info..

how about if you have 3 kids, how much will be the monthly expenses, have you checked for a 2 bedroom house.. mga magkano kaya ang rent every month... thanks.

How old are your kids? 2 bedroom I could try to confirm but from what I can remember it is like $100 to $200 more.. You are lucky coz you got 3 kids.. For 2 kids, you'll be getting money from the government of around $800 monthly.. I'll double check the figure for u.. U have to wait for around 2 months though to collect it.. But when you get it, it is big time since it will be around $800 x 2. LOL

Hi adg256,
Good to hear this news about child allowance. I'm also Pinoy and we are applying for MPNP under general stream. We also have 4 kids with ages 13 and below. I'm curious if what's your intended occupation since you asked about working in call centers. I asked this because I'm an English teacher and I don't know our chances of being approved. They might ask me how can I teach English to native speakers in Canada. btw, we submitted our application last September 2011 and still waiting for the interview. Thanks!

yes candidgirl, our friend is working in a call center in winnipeg and told us that they need more people there.. so once we get there we can apply.. maybe as a start while waiting for the right job for us. i'm an exectuve assistant working in a bank here in the middle east... definitely you will be approved... end of February you will get your LOA.. God bless.

Thanks adg256 for the inspiration. I've come across some posts from other threads/forum about MPNP general applicants being denied and I was thinking one factor for their denial might be their employability in their intended occupation. Anyway, we are just praying and hoping for the approval of our application. God bless you, too.

Hi, is there anyone here who was awarded letter of approval, whose intended occupation here in Manitoba is being a nurse/ practical nurse or anything related to it?

Coz we are helping another friend of ours, who is a registered nurse in the Philippines.. I am just not sure if his occupation is something that the mpnp will give favorable decision..

Thank you.
