Hello solomonokene,

Usually the AOR (File number) is issued within 4-5mos from the date of application. LOA (approval/nomination letter) is issued 4-5 mos after you have recieved your AOR. We have noticed that the process is sort of slow at this time for GS because those who have applied last July is just starting to receive their AOR (this is according to the tracking sheet). I hope this helps. :D

Hello to all
am October2012 applicant.
AOR on 12August,2013
no supposner interview,or LOA
last day i enquire about my case status

answer from MPNP office :

Greetings,

The application placed in queue for pre-assessment. Once a decision has been made the applicant will receive notification in writing of the outcome.

The MPNP is based on a bilateral agreement with the Government of Canada which requires the province to thoroughly and consistently pre-screen all applicants to ensure that each nominee has a clearly demonstrated potential to become a successful economic immigrant to Manitoba.
This is why the MPNP processes the strongest applicants first by selecting those with confirmed employment, job-ready English, training and work experience indicating potential for employability and/or strong family connections.
Manitoba cannot guarantee processing times for any application because each application is assessed on its own merits and each requires follow-up with applicants and supporters to ensure program integrity.
Applicants who use the online application tool receive faster processing than people applying via regular mail (post).
Sincerely,
Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program
Online Application Support.

Re: MPNP (Need Guidance)

Dear Forum Leader,

I am Shahid from Pakistan and am planning for Canadian Immigration through MPNP general stream.

I have few questions / queries for which I need some guidance.

I am currently working as Human Resources Manager with around 12 years of professional experience. I have done Master in Public Administration from University of Karachi.

I will be appearing in IELTS general on 1st Feb, 2014.

My brother and sister are both Canadian National are currently living in USA. They used to lived in Toronto.

1) I currently have no sponsor but one of my friend lived in Manitoba but now moved to Alberta can he sponsor or I need a sponsor someone else?
2) I have enough funds to settle in Manitoba, will it will be helpful?
3) I have strong professional experience in my area of expertise and would like to use my skills and experience in Manitoba as permanent resident, will it be helpful?
4) Can my sister or brother still sponsor me?

Looking forward for help/ guidance so that I can further proceed with my application with complete / comprehensive details.

Thanks and regards,

Shahid

Answers are in RED.

I highly suggest you try the self assessment of MPNP and also read further on immigratemanitoba website.

Your friend cannot sponsor you from Alberta. Your sponsor should be living and working in Manitoba. So, yes, you do need another sponsor. This also answers to your question no. 3, your siblings cannot sponsor you.

2) I have enough funds to settle in Manitoba, will it will be helpful?
You should check the website immigratemanitoba and perhaps consider the business stream, where you will invest a huge amount of money in Manitoba. I am not sure if this is still available, but they used to have this before April 2013. And whether you would still need a sponsor.

3) I have strong professional experience in my area of expertise and would like to use my skills and experience in Manitoba as permanent resident, will it be helpful?
It really depends on what kind of MPNP you are applying, there is Exploratory Visit (which is at the moment close), and business/ investment and the skilled worker (which used to be General, Family and Economic Stream, now under one category).
4) Can my sister or brother still sponsor me?
See answer no.1

Looking forward for help/ guidance so that I can further proceed with my application with complete / comprehensive details.

Thanks and regards,

Shahid

Hello everyone,

Happy new year and it's good to hear all the good news about LOA, AOR, and from those who landed in Winnipeg.

I applied end April and my sponsor was interviewed end October but didn't get any feedback on LOA. To allay the tension that we've been under for the over 2 months of silence from MPNP, I mailed them yesterday and this is the response I got:

"The application is in the final processing steps, the applicant will receive notification of outcome by mail."

From your experiences, will like to know whether this is a system generated response or any cause for concern.

Cheers,

Ofis

Can my sponsor do another sponsorship to another person immediately? I just submitted my application last sept 2013 and no progress yet and she's planning to sponsor her relative this year.Tnx
