MPNP General Stream Applicants

MPNP program officer called my sponsor,
Interview was quite smooth,
They ask my sponsor about 2 issues,
Well it will take some time to resolve them.
Not so much hard, but i wasn't expecting this.

HI I just want to ask, can I submit the settlement plan 2 in behalf of my sponsor? She doesnt have a printer/scanner (the sponsor is kinda old that's why she is not so techy) our plan is my friend will print it and send it to her to fill up then my friend will scan it and send it to me...

or... can we just send it to the MPNP office just like in the instruction in the settlement plan 2?


Can I submit my application without settlement plan 2? To follow settlement plan 2? Thanks!

Hi Everyone,

May I request for the advise of people who have the same experience as mine.

I applied last June 11, 2013 under friend endorsement. I submitted English certification from my primary, secondary, tertiary education including my work. The reason why I did not include IELTS is because there was a clause in the MPNP website during the time of my application saying that applicants have the option to provide certification as proof of English proficiency.

When I visited the website recently, the said policy which I mentioned above is no longer included, but instead, they would require all applicants to submit an English test result especially applicants not currently working in Manitoba in NOC 0, A and B type of work.

My question now is, will they assess my application based on the program criteria published at the time of my application, or will they assess my application based on the new criteria. Also, can I still take the IELTS test this October and submit the result to them as soon as I get it, or should I wait for the advise of the MPNP Officer to tell me to submit additional / lacking documents.

Your advise will be highly appreciated.

IELTS is MANDATORY in MPNP stage.

any idea on timelines under general category (sponsorship by a friend)

and does the friend have to know you for a certain time before he can sponsor you ?

I applied on 11 Sept 2013 got the AOR on 12th. SP2 on 13 Sept.

Hi Everyone,

May I request for the advise of those who have the same experience as mine. I applied Last June 11, 2013 and only submitted English certification without the IELTS. My question now is, will the MPNP Case Officer deny my application at once or will they inform me of lacking documents in order for me to comply within a certain period of time.

The next IELTS exam is on October 12, 2013 and the result will be expected end of October. Should I inform the MPNP Officer that I am scheduled for the exam this October 12, 2013 and results to follow.

How long do they usually assess our application? I will be turning 4 months this October 11, 2013.

Any helpful information will be highly appreciated.

SP2 submitted 12 sept and confirmation email from MPNP on receipt of SP2 13 Sept.

any idea on the timelines and how much time it takes nowadays for getting LOA.

In general it takes from 2-3 weeks to 1 month. I think that letter with yr LOA was lost! You can write to MPNP and ask about this issue, so they could send it again to you. And do not forget to write back about their response!)

Email MPNP whether or not they have arrived with a decision already. If not, you have to extend your patience. If they have indeed issued a decision, ask for a duplicate copy.
