MPNP General Stream Applicants

Hi all,

I Asked from MPNP the following question -

3. simple question, my friend has applied to CIC for his wife immigration to Manitoba. Can he give me settlement plan at the same time his wife's case is under process? I mean I am gonna apply under general stream and he has already applied to direct CIC 2 months ago. So can i get settlement plan 2 from him at same time?

REPLY I GOT -

3. – no - A friend or distant relative must not be currently supporting the settlement of another MPNP applicant, nominee or person under another Canadian immigration program.
We no longer have General Stream –

Hi.... It's really confusing man... 2 days ago one of general stream applicant got AOR... Name of applicant blooms and mpnp also mentioned nothing in web site regarding closing of GS. Just write another email to mpnpapplicationhelp@gov.mb.ca regarding this query, may GS online process is still available.

Do not be mislead by this, actually, FS and GS have been abolished by MPNP since last April 4, meaning there will be NO DISTINCTION ANYMORE NOR PRIORITY for those applicants applying for a FRIEND SPONSORSHIP (GS) or a RELATIVE SPONSORSHIP (FS). As we all know, FS has been the priority for years by MPNP, now the only advantage for those with relative is higher points (20points) compared to 10 points for friends supporter.

In a nutshell, IT IS NOW A FAIR GAME when it comes to PROCESSING TIME for both two instances. ;D ;D ;D

You can't apply while the other application is on process... It will only cause jeopardy on both parties.


first you need to wait until the first applicant landed in their destination, then your sponsor can include you to his/her list if the first one is done.

this is what I've learned and read from other colleagues here.

it only shows 1 sponsor/applicant at a time.

Hi kurt & itguy... Any update regarding sponsor interviews for gs applicants. Now it's nearly 14 months passed... I'm still waiting for sponsor interview. 10 days ago I emailed to mpnpapplicationhelp@ gov. Mb. Ca nd just request them by stated my name, file no nd date of birth please confirm me tht mpnp have my file or not. And this time they replied me your file is still under progress. Previously I sent email to mpnpsupport but they replied we can provide any info regarding application. So this make me bit happy tht they have my file.

u guys are lucky ....i hav got one guy fro SP@ after many year's hard work and this happens.......dream broken...no one other ready to giv sp2 ...asking big dollers....

How many times did you make an inquiry to mPNP?? as we all know that keep on doing an inquiry to them could cause delay in our application... I'm not giving you a negative impression but just knowing the fact. I would like to know how many times did you inquire to them about your application...

Did you specify to your last inquiry that your application has reached 1 year/12months already???

Aside from you... did your sponsor support another applicant/application(pending)??? or just you????

when you received your AOR, was it specified there if they need additional document/s coming from you???

any changes from the contact details of your sponsor..

is your sponsor a friend of yours or a distant relative???

have you asked your sponsor if they received a call/ miss calls from mpNP?


We're praying that everyone of us will have our sponsor's interview soon..

Just think positive mate, maybe this month you'll expect the unexpected.

Hi itguy...i got AOR on 10 aug 2012, mpnp asked me for updated exp. letter nd bank statement I sent all required docs in sept. then I sent first email to mpnp in jan 2013 just asking them tht they received additional docs or not. But they replied we can't provide any info regarding application. Then 2nd time in may 2013 I sent mail on same email ID but reply was same. Now in June I sent mail on other email ID -: mpnpapplicationhelp , now they replied application is still under progress. My sponsor is my family friend i applied under GS nd his contact is also same. My sponsor calls me every weekend. I know also 3 other applicants of April 2012 who r waiting for interview call.

Hi itguy... I think so... Bcoz mpnp skip April applicants nd also some of June 2012 .... So may b mpnp is faster for those whose occupation is in demand or who are job ready work experience. According to tracking sheet in "mpnp applicants 2012 " thread me, rupinder , apleshah nd some of June 2012 applicants are still waiting for sponsor interview. So I guess mpnp have some priority system

With this, the only thing that we wil be able to do is wait. We cannot really tell when will you receive your LOA nor supporter's interview. May i know your job and have you provided your IELTS during your application? BTW, an August 2012 applicant had her supporter's interview today, so i guess GS is really moving now.

So that's why mpnp asked me for updated docs... Kurt you said August 2012 applicant got interview call so why mpnp skip June July applicants... As according to this forum so many June - July applicants are still waiting for call

Hi Amy_Zira, Please clarify, I thought you already have a supporter, why you said dreams broken. I also do not understand who is asking big dollars to provide you with SP2. You mean to say there are people willing to act as a Supporter but in return you need to pay big $ ?

based on my observation, the backlogs for GS is now moving.. maybe the MPNP is doing a group/collating of documents as per batch... this is just only my observation and I might be wrong also with this.

Hi Itguy29,

May I ask how did you apply for the MPNP GS. Now we can apply on line, how about applicants last year? Is the on line application available last year? Hope to hear from you. Thank you.
