MPNP General Stream Applicants

Hello itguy29 & kurtsebastian,

My friend submitted my GS paper application to the Manitoba office last Sept.27, 2012.
I just wonder why is it that up to this point in time (Almost 8 months already) I still haven't received my AOR.
Kindly advise if you have some ideas on the delay.

Hello there, actually, the processing time for GS has been super slow in the past months. They have prioritized the FS.

You submitted paper application and got your AOR in you email account.
Aren't you supposed to get AOR through postal mail if you sent paper application?
Has MPNP started sending online AORs to all the applicants?

Hi Iherm,

our applications depends on the assessor on when they will provide a file/AOR #, also that is what I have found on their website.


The MPNP nominates people who we assess as having a strong connection to Manitoba and sufficient skills, education, work experience, language ability and adaptability to make an immediate economic contribution to the local community and labour market.... that's why TL is different.

But still what we can do is to pray and think positive, all of us will surely go to a one destination ;D

as of now majority of the AOR/file# they provide to applicants comes from their email, so it only means they aren't providing any AOR/file# by snail mail that happened last year. ;D

your welcome, well i think the next step wud be interview n then LOA.actually i don't know much about it. do you know that how much time it would take after AOR ,and will mpnp guys will interview me too,or just my sponser?

Hi 5jabi.... Now a days mpnp is so slow for general stream applicants.... I got my AOR in August 2012, and I know 2 other persons who received AOR in July 2012... But after that there is no response for us from mpnp side... No interview... No decision..but I also know some applicants those got AOR in sept- oct 2012 and they already got a LOA in past months... So I think no body knows mpnp procedure of processing.... Average time after AOR is 7-8 month to get LOA. Good luck guys

yea, itoo heard about it.actually there is no uniformity in processing times.so it would take approx. 2 years for visa?

Couple of queries agian for u

NO problem anytime mate.

1. What is process of attaching settlement plan 2 from my friend as it is not filled at the time of online application. Will it be added later on?? how will I send SP2 to them OR my friend will send to them???
The MPNP will send the SP2 directly to your supporter's email add. Just remind your friend to check his email regularly. Then, your supporter will attach this form via email again to MPNP.


2. How old should be funds ($10000) in bank?
This has been very confusing to most of the applicants, some says it should mature about 3 mos, others says 6 mos. But for me i have secured it for 6 mos. Try to ask others.
