From test scores, applicants are assigned language points based on a CLB (Canadian language benchmark), according to the MPNP CLB Language Grid (PDF).
http://www.immigratemanitoba.com/wp-content/uploads/manitoba-canada-immigration-mpnp-language-grid.pdf

CLB 8 or higher 25 per band
CLB 7 - 22 per band
CLB 6 - 20 per band
CLB 5 - 17 per band
CLB 4 - 12 per band
I don't understand pls give me example

How can I calculate the points.. . Pls mention and give me example
I got 5.5 L, 5.0 W, 5.5 R, 6.5 S
Total 5.5 band

By the time I applied, after having received LAA, I had at hand only a handwritten birth certificate which I uploaded. After that, I received a typed version of the same from the vital statistics. I am wondering If I should submit upfront the updated version of my birth certificate whilst the status of my application remains "received" or just wait until they request another one, if necessary. Have any of you guys heard of any problem related to handwritten birth certificates at MPNP?

PS: The document is a form whose blank fields only are handwritten. Stamps and logos from the vital statistics are all there.

Congratulations arshakil!

You have to upload transcripts and certificates/diplomas. A copy of her transcript or any form that serves the same purpose as a transcript is fine.

Once complete submit your application ASAP. Then you can start processing to get her real transcript while waiting for your application to be processed. For me it took 5 months from application submission to assessment pending. So you'll have enough time to procure any missing DOX. Usually it will only take you days/weeks to get a document. Once you have it upload it as additional DOX in your MPNP application.

Good luck and GOD bless!

Hello, I need help for my daughters application, how can I send you a private message? TIA

Hi, znarfier and Louise1234! Please help. I have the same problem with @djbam. I don't know what to use as an attachment with those fields. Also,I am having a hard time answering the Education History section. What will I put on Program Name? Is it High School and College? On the program completed drop down box,the least number of years that is close to 4 years in high school is 10 years. So,I chose that. Having that,what starting date should I put? If I put the date when I started in High School,it will sum to just 4 years. I am so confused right now. I hope you could help me the soonest time possible. Thanks guys. ??? :-X

Hi Donna,

Im having the same problem sa application ng daughter ko, ano ang ginawa mo? NIlagay ko naman taming years ng secondary at post secondary pero sa review may inconsistency daw..

Translaite your IELTS to CLB
IELTS--->CLB--->points
5.5 L---->6----->20
5.0 W--->5----->17
5.5 R--->6----->20
6.5 S--->8----->25

Thanks Olurotimi1 for advising! I did add the updated birth certificate. Nevertheless, I did not find any "submit" button this time. After uploading the files, we push "add" and that is it? The documents hang in there for a day and just vanish the following day without any confirmation or acknowledgement of receipt. Is that the way it worked for you guys?

:D As long as you clicked add documents and uploaded it, no problem. Just like when uploaded documents at the initial stage, it adds it to your list. If you need to be sure just mail them and quote your file number they will confirm it. Cheers ;D
