Wow to all who has received their LAA, Congratulation. Hopefully everyone will receive theirs.

Pls can some one help me. I have a question:

1. Is French language consider as a second language and can my sister claim 25point on the section that says CLB 5 or higher , since her overall IELTS score is 6.

2. My sister took IELTS and her score are: Listening : 6.0, Reading:5.0, Speaking:7.0 and writing 6.5. Please what is her CLB score

Thanks

In behalf of the rest, thank u starblessing!

For the 2nd Language, yes, she can claim + 25 point if she has taken a French language proficiency test with a score of CLB 5 or higher. Just be ready with her French test result.

IELTS Scores -- CLB per band -- Ranking Points per band
Listening: 6.0 -- 7 -- 22
Reading: 5.0 -- 6 -- 20
Writing: 6.5 -- 8 -- 25
Speaking: 7.0 -- 9+ -- 25
CLB = 6

I have same situation. We prepare:
- birth certificate mother my spouse
- birth certificate her sister (mother my spouse). It is proof that they are sister.
- marriage certificate parents my spouse
- marriage certificate parents spouse first cousin, because they change their last name, when they got married.
- birth certificate my spouse
- birth certificate my spouse first cousin
- marriage certificate my spouse first cousin

I think that will prove close relative

Correct AnnaG! ;)

If your occupation is regulated in Manitoba, are you fully recognized by the provincial licensing body after undergoing all steps of having your qualifications assessed? Yes or No

what should i write Yes/No.

Kindly help.

admr please check this out: http://www.immigratemanitoba.com/opportunities-for-immigrants-in-manitoba-mpnp/opportunities-in-manitoba/regulated-professions-and-trades/

You should answer NO to that question even if your occupation is regulated in Manitoba but you haven't taken a license there yet.

Note: "The recognition process varies for each profession and trade. Recognition of qualifications and issuance of licenses can generally only be completed in Canada. The process takes both time and money."

And be careful as: "You have indicated that you are working in an occupation that is considered regulated and are fully licensed to practice in your profession or trade in Manitoba, but your occupation is not regulated." http://www.immigratemanitoba.com/mpnp-for-skilled-workers/expression-of-interest/

My friend who is based in winnipeg says it can take up to 7 years to receive professional license. They might ask you to do volunteer work, pass their exams etc. Here is one such organization for engineers : APEGM
