I just got my ECA report from wes today, can i also apply under express entry? It wouldn't harm the EOI i just filled few days back, would it?

hello guys...
i need your assistance... I want to apply for mpnp program as i have close relative in Manitoba.... my occupation is Staff Nurse (Having 4 Years Experience, IELTS CLB 6 Education GNM) But i am bit confused about this question...

As i checked on the website that my occupation is regulated in Manitoba..
as the question is
*If your occupation is regulated in Manitoba, are you fully recognized by the provincial licensing body after undergoing all steps of having your qualifications assessed?

Then what should i answer of this question as My occupation is regulated in Manitoba but m not able to understand the second part i.e. are you fully recognized by the provincial licensing body after undergoing all steps of having your qualifications assessed?

Clearly mentioned on the website i.e.

Please ONLY answer Yes to this question if:
you are working in a profession or trade that is considered regulated in Manitoba; AND
you have fully undergone all licensing steps required to work in this occupation in our province.
Having submitted your credentials for evaluation is not considered sufficient proof of being able to work in Manitoba, so you would have to answer No to this question in that case. Please review the information in the section on Regulated Professions and Trades on immigratemanitoba.com carefully to determine if you fall under a regulated occupation and to learn what it means to be fully licensed to work in Manitoba.

Now What to do....

Please rply me as soon as possible....

Thanx

Hi Znarfier,

I'm now on the process of completing my EOI. I just have one clarification.

This is the question:
- If your occupation is regulated in Manitoba, are you fully recognized by the provincial licensing body after undergoing all steps of having your qualifications assessed? YES or NO

Then it says on the details
(Please ONLY answer Yes to this question if:
you are working in a profession or trade that is considered regulated in Manitoba; AND
you have fully undergone all licensing steps required to work in this occupation in our province.
Having submitted your credentials for evaluation is not considered sufficient proof of being able to work in Manitoba, so you would have to answer No to this question in that case. ***I know that my profession is regulated. But I will only do my licensing when i arrive in Winnipeg and not prior to my application. So will my answer be a Yes or a NO?

Thanks!!

I also have the same concern. Im confused on the next sentence. Its like, yes, my occupation is regulated. But no, because i will only complete my licensing once i arrive in Manitoba.

I feel so stupid on my next question. Maybe I'm understanding it per word and not the entire question. Here it goes...

-Do your test results indicate you have language proficiency in Canada’s second official language at CLB level 5 or higher? YES or NO

I took IELTS and got 6.5 total band score which is equivalent to CLB 7. Its a YES on that part. Regardless, its only asking that based on my test result that i got CLB 5 or higher right? so its YES? sorry, my brain is not working properly today

-------------

Hi raichand, if I were to answer in your behalf, I'd type NO. If you havent done what is mentioned below...

"you have fully undergone all licensing steps required to work in this occupation in our province."

----------------

Regulated Occupations

......

For example, to work as a nurse, your education and experience must first be evaluated by one of the professional regulatory bodies in Manitoba before you are licensed (registered) to work as a registered nurse (RN), licensed practical nurse (LPN), or registered psychiatric nurse (RPN).

Recognition of qualifications and issuance of licenses can generally only be completed in Canada. The process takes both time and money.

All the best to you!

Hi Ikah, if you are outside or never been to Manitoba/Canada yet, then I assume that you havent taken the steps in getting the license in MB yet, so your answer should be NO... becasue of "are you fully recognized by the provincial licensing body after undergoing all steps of having your qualifications assessed" and "Recognition of qualifications and issuance of licenses can generally only be completed in Canada. The process takes both time and money."

Good luck!

Correct Ikah! "no, because i will only complete my licensing once i arrive in Manitoba."

Hi Ikah, no worries... this Forum is for us to Exchange ideas and interpretations...

That questions is actually for "Canada's second official language" which is French.

Check the MPNP Express Entry Ranking Points grid; under Factor 1: Language Proficiency, it says:

Second Official Language:

if your score is CLB 5 or higher (overall) then you'll get an additional 25 Points, aside from your IELTS points

You're such a big help znarfier! One more question left and i guess it was a yes about the english profeciency test.

Guys, those with knowledge on my query, please reply as the sytem for EOI 's new to all..

I have submitted my EOI but was not sure of a question which I gave an answer of Yes, gained 100 points and submitted EOI
but later on came to know that I had to mark No for the question and done that.. I even received an e-mail for updating my profile
which reduced my 100 points.

Now the question is, as the LAA was not given for my EOI, will I receive an LAA for the updated profile or should I cancel the EOI and submit
a new one as the following info was only given in the e-mail:
If you receive a LAA, but your points have decreased or your personal information is not accurate, you do not have to proceed to submit a MPNP-SW Application. Please contact us and we will cancel your EOI submission. You should submit another EOI with correct information and wait to receive another LAA provided you are selected from the pool of active EOI submissions.

Now i understand. Its for french and not for english. Ok then its a No to all the questions for the 2nd page for my EOI. Thank you so much znarfier!
