hello everyone,

i am new in this forum but has learned a lot from reading all that you've shared, thank you very much :-)

i just have a question and i hope someone can help me with it. i am from the Phils and separated now from my husband for 3 years. we have 1 child and are in the process of getting an annulment. my question is, under civil status, should i indicate legally separated (we did not go though legal separation) or should I still indicate married?

any info you can share with me will be much appreciated.

thanks everyone :-)

Hi Djbam, welcome to this thread!

I am no legal expert but just my two cents, since you said, you "are in the process of getting an annulment", therefore, you are still married.

Hope someone out there can clarify this...

Good luck!

hello guys,

I got LAA on June 25, submitted my application on July 9 and got the MPNP application no on July 10.

I just noticed today that my status is now "Assessment Pending"

Is there a way i can confirm the exact date the status changed from application received? and likely no of days to stay on this status?

thanks

Congratulations dafdipson !

What was your self assessment score? Are you SWO or SW in Manitoba?

Well based on my observation, we cant confirm the exact date so you will only note the last time you checked and the date you saw the update in your Status. :) And same with the Duration. It is varried and from case to case Basis, though some have similar timelines... :)

PS: Are you in our spreadsheet already? Here's the link: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1LM8OrPqGozIJ96sdSrOvefPrdgRiUXSCrEknBTGzkD0/edit?pli=1#gid=0

Hello,
mine got its status changed. mine is now "assessment pending" too since saturday.
A friend of mine got the same change also on saturday. I suppose that they worked on a lot of files on that day.
Allow me to suggest your application changed the same day as yours.
Good luck and keep us posted of any change.

haha TRUE
i think they must need to thinking about selecting systems before its launched such as ranking system points are ascetained separately for 1.close relative and 2.friends/distance relative individually because points are far differ as close relative get 200 but other is only 50 points. if mnnp not selected distant/friends relative application why they given option..its totally unfair to applicant who with distant relatives.

hello znarfier!

Thanks very much for sharing your thoughts :-) so you think i am better off ticking "married" over legally separated? The only document I can probably show to prove we are separated is an affidavit of separation from my lawyer. He is also not accompanying me to CA but he's supportive of the application so I most probably will be able to provide the required documents for him.

Once again thank you and goodluck to all of us!

Yes I fully agreed with you. This program only for close relative not for distance/friends. :( :( ..
For this unfair system I already sent email to immigratemanitoba@gov.mb.ca so pls. who suffering with the same thing please raise you voice & just do email, may be possible someone listen…

Please, Any feedback ?

Hi friends,

am new to this thread and found it very useful, thanks a bunch.

well regarding the MPNP am also too much frustrated and sent an e-mail also saying the same I mean that the program is for close relatives more than any thing else.

and also there is an important point there; for Manitoba connection the highest point you may get is 250 (200 close relative + 50 points if you choose to reside outside Winn. That means the highest points you may get if have the full points in all factors is 750 while others with job offer (Manitoba demand) may get up to 500 points only for this part plus the other 500 points which means 1000 points. Ho they compare two categories one the highest for them is 750 and another one may get up to 1000??
please correct me if am wrong.

thanks

Hello All,

I am new to this forum. I just submitted my application in September and received file number on Oct 1 and my supporter sent in my SP2 the following week. The status has been on received since then. Can anyone tell me when the assessment is likely to start?

Hello,
the delays varies depending on multiple reasons. They are not fixed.
Sorry but you juste have to wait, and check every week.

Good luck!
