My question is do submit online to CIC or do we send hard copies by ups to CIC? Am confused.

Hi olurotimi1,

Yes, you have to send the hard copies if you are a "paper-based" applicant.

If you are not sure check your category here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/apply.asp

Or if you belong to MPNP EOI-SW, check here directly: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/provincial/apply-how.asp

Good luck and GOD bless!

Is it by choice to go thru paper based or thru EE? Or which is better ? Or faster?. I thought ever one goes thru EE eletronically. Please explain. Thanks

What do you say about this quote" Note: If you have a nomination that is not for Express Entry, or it was issued before January 1, 2015, you must apply using the paper-based process. You cannot use this nomination for Express Entry."

@ znarfier are you saying we that are nominated through the MPNP-SWO are required not to apply through paper based application, what process do we then apply through then.

Hi olurotimi1!

I applied through MPNP.

Some MPNP nominees were asked by MPNP if they want to proceed with their application through EE since the Federal Govt gave 500 additional visa slots to the province per year.

However, an applicant who has no connection in Manitoba can apply through the Federal's EE program without going through MPNP. And this is faster as they promised 6 mos processing via EE.

olurotimi1, since you already applied through MPNP / PNP, then just wait for your nomination which you will receive probably very soon.

The above statement simply means that you have to apply to CIC / IRCC as paper-based once you receive your nomination letter. Please note that in the nomination certificate it will be mentioned whether you will be allowed to apply through EE or not:

Hello akins2014!

Yes... through here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/provincial/apply-how.asp

Unless, the MPNP will ask you to proceed via EE.

More info on EE here: http://www.immigratemanitoba.com/2015/03/12/frequently-asked-questions-about-manitobas-use-of-express-entry/

Good luck!

Hi KaZUcHen!

It's the Right of Permanent Residence Fees (RPRF). This fee can be paid at the following link: https://eservices.cic.gc.ca/epay/

Hi all!

Here's one way to check the status of your CIC application.

1. Go to this link: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/e-services/mycic.asp

2. Click (Continue GCKey) blue tab ---- this is the one i used.

3. Sign Up

4. Select (Link the existing account)

5. Enter all required info

6. For English Test detail, use the following if you don't have the info handy:

Test: None
Test ID: 000
Test Date: CIC application received date

(for few it works but not for all)

Enjoy and good luck!
