Clarification regarding risk assessment for MPNP EOI

Previous immigration application to another province -100

What is exactly considered as previous immigration application?

We attempted to apply for a provincial nominee program under NOC2173 submitted just last year October 2014. However it was returned to us on February 17th this year because the cap has already been reached.

For those applying under MPNP EOI --- is this considered a previous immigration application and thus a risk assessable minus 100?

Our assumption is a previous application is considered as any application that has been submitted and accepted, reviewed and or rejected or ongoing and cancelled. Our application under NOC2173 was not even reviewed - it was simply returned in full including the fee stating that the cap has already been reached and that we may try to apply again - but we didn't due to EOI. Is this considered as previous immigration application?

I would very much appreciate any response.

Thank you for your time.

Anybody please?

For those who have experienced this... what have you indicated on your Express Entry application form? Did you deduct 100?

I would very much appreciate any reply.

Cheers.

Your assumption appears entirely reasonable. I believe you should proceed with MPNP.

All the best!

Hello! Im Flor last 2007 I applied for Federal Skilled Worker Program but unfortunately I withrawn it because it is already 2010 and my Agent ask me to re apply because they say It might get backlog then at that time my uncle told me to study caregiver so that's what I did. but unfortunately my application was denied because the person I was taking care suposedly was already 14 years old. In EOI there was a question Have you or your spouse ever applied to any Provincial Nominee Program (other than the MPNP) Or a Federal Immigration program with an intede destination outside of Manitoba? then my aswered was Yes I was deducted 100 for Risk Factors that's so sad.

Hi Asivad,

I know you will help me in making things clear. So, I'm an International graduate student from Ontario. Did bachelors degree there and moved to Manitoba due to job offer. I will be eligible to apply under MPNP in Nov (after one year experience). I was calculating points for MPNP using http://www.immigratemanitoba.com/mpnp-for-skilled-workers/expression-of-interest/ Regarding Risk Assessment.

Close relative in another province and no close relative in Manitoba -100
Work experience in another province -100
Studies in another province -100

I have studied in other province so, for sure will take 100 points out. Work experience in another province? I have done part time jobs and internships when I was in school. Should I take 100 points out from this as well? I have brother living in ontario as well. So, another 100?

It will be ridiculous, if 300 will be deducted from my total points.

Please clarify.

Thanks.

You will lose 200 points for sure. About the remaining 100, your current full-time experience in Manitoba would count not your internships - CIC discounts work experience gained while one was a full-time student and I imagine the provinces would do the same - you would be best placed to keep those experiences outside the scope of work history in your MPNP application in much the same manner you would mention that experience under Personal history alone under EE.

Thanks. Make sense. So basically, I just need to show my current experience. No internship/part time

Hi Asiavd & other experts,

I applied to SINP OID category but then withdrawn my application, before application was processed and any final decision being made.

In this case too, do i loose 100 points as I applied and then withdrawn, nullifying my action of applying.

Kindly respond...

Thanks
