Yeah, it's the first. I have only one alternative right now, extend my visa through my employer (Closed Work Permit) after I get my approval by the province.

Not yet... I went to the MPNP office and they said to extend my work permit (even knowing it will be denied) just to give me more work time (implied status).

Does it mean that they will not send you the nomination letter before your visa expires?
I'm not doing that, my status just changed to in process, finally! Hahaha
