Hi everyone!

I sent my application to CIC last July 27. Based on my observation, I am expecting to receive AOR and medical request by late September or early October. My problem is, I am currently overseas for a temporary work assignment. My next vacation s scheduled in December. I think I won’t be able to do the medical examination within 30 days. Do you think it would be possible to request for an extension? If yes, how do I do that? Do I need to call them or just send them an email?

Call and send an email, do that immediately.


explain the situation and seek their advice, at least they will know you are planning for what may happen.

Congratulations! For now, all you can do is, check your e-mail regularly for documentation request (you and your supporter). Ask your supporter to answer all calls even if there is "no caller id" or if it is an unknown number and be positive ;D

Hi Guys, i have a question, before they interview our sponsor they first change our status status from pending to process? i always check our status everyday and for me to inform in advance our sponsor that our application is now in process. hoping for advice. Good luck to us.

Our status changed the same time that they interviewed our sponsor. I checked it 2 hours before and it was Pending, my supporter got the call and when she told me I immediately checked my status and it was In Process.

I have read about cases on here where it changed to In Process and only after a couple of days the supporter gets interviewed. I guess it varies from case to case...not much that is consistent with MPNP hey ?

Hi Iverjebs, they will phone the sponsor and inform them that they are phoning from MPNP and that this is any interview that they want to conduct before beginning with the actual interview (if this is what you are asking?)

My supporter did not pick up her cellular phone at first and the MPNP Officer left a voicemail stating his name and the reason for his call. My supporter then phoned back immediately and conducted the interview.

Congratulations Druce! am happy for you. I just got a mail from one of the programme officer that i need to update my employment letter.

The documents you provided as proof of employment are not sufficient, neither letter indicates the duration of your employment (start date/end date).

- Please send new employment reference letters that indicate the day employment commenced and the date employment ended. Please ensure these letters of employment are dated and include contact information (name and phone number) for verification. Please also include the position’s job description/duties performed.

Should I request for reference letter from my previous place of work and tell them to include the aforementioned? Or what should i do?
