thank you for the reply. well, actually my uncle (sponsor) and my father's friendship is more than 20 yrs old..
my uncle is residing in Winnipeg since last decade and he supported his brother also 2 yrs ago in family stream and he is also settled in Winnipeg.

Please can you confirm :
-whether is mandatory for spouse to submit IELTS or not.
-and if i submit balance certificate at this point, will it be ok?
-is there anyone here who has landed in Manitoba through general stream? (sponsored by friend)?
- to be more specific, is there any Pakistani who got MPNP approval ? if yes, then how long did it take?

Hi,

IELTS requirement is only for the main applicant. It's your call to include spouse IELTS to strengthen your application.

I believe it's at least 6 months bank history required.

guys some of u may hav re-submit ur funds docs... i have query that embassy persons can directly call to bank for my account or they will ask me to resubmit docs?Huh anyone of u hav such case that embassy has directly contacted bank??? embassy hav rights to access our details from bank?Huh plzzz help

Yes I have called them, unfortunately I was unable to speak to anyone due to high call rate. I was asked to ring back later.

I have not been requested to submit additional docs so far. But it is possible for them to request updated bank certificate from us.

Did any sponsor get an interview recently? I have been hoping that my sponser gets an interview soon, I applied in March (Family Stream) :-(

June 18, 2013: Submission of SP2
June 28, 2013: Email acknowledgement that my Supporter's SP2 and documents already received

Now waiting for the interview of my Supporter.

Please note that we cannot provide status updates regarding your application as it takes time away from assessing applications. You can be assured; once a decision has been made you will be provided with a decision in writing.

i am currently on my PGWP and i submitted my MPNP on April 10.

so far i this is where i am at :

April 10 MPNP Submitted
April 10 Confirmation AoR
May 1, 2013 - email request more bank information.
July 3, 2013 - Program Officer called asking a few questions regarding LMO, good thing i just got a positive LMO for work permit renewal ( PGWP expiring july 25,2014)

Could you please let me know which status you are now? i submitted my application on mid of May, and my PGWP will be expired on September, should i wait for a while or should I apply for LMO now?

I am new here in the forum and I am interested in applying for the MPNP. I have some questions to ask and I am pretty sure that there will be a guru in this forum who can enlighten me with an accurate response. Here it goes, I am keen to permanently migrate and I am considering Manitoba province particularly with Winnipeg. My concern is, I don't have a close relative nor a close friend who can sponsor/nominate me with the MPNP. Is this possible where I can proceed with my application? I have sufficient funds to support me while starting to establish my life in Winnipeg and I can justify that in my Settlement plan. This is the only factor that stop me from moving forward, I already taken my IELTS and completed the documents that needs to be submitted. Please advise and appreciate all your inputs.

You can apply under strategic initiative- exploratory visit (requires no supporter). However up to this point, the program is still closed, wait for the program to reopen. Check mpnp website regularly for you to pass an expresion of interest. Noone will be able to know when it will open again, only MPNP.

Thanks kurtsebastian, I have read this previously but I didn't realize that this is the only way to apply for the MPNP without a close relative/friend in Manitoba. I will take note and check every now and then the Manitoba website for further details when they will be opening this program again. Appreciate your help!

Still no sponsor interview for me to date. I'm a Feb FS applicant. Let's continue to pray and get ready for a good news soon!!!
