hello. i applied on oct2013 MPNP and 30jun2015 i got LOA by email.Now i am preparing my documents to send my file CIC NS but my ielts has expired on jun2015, pls tell me weather i should apply with my expired ielts or i should apply with valid ielts.if i apply with expired ielts will they returend my file or they will request for ielts. i am confused pls help me.thanx

They can returned your file if any of your document is expired or incomplete and that will put you behind few months as they are taking around3-4 months to send you the file number.I would advise take your IELTS test again before you send your file to CIC as that will save your time.

if you don't mind can I ask when did you get the interview and how long they took to send you the LOA as I am waiting for my brothers LOA and got interviewed on Jun 28/2015 .Did you get your LOA via email or mail ?

Hello. I have a supplementary question along with ri123 about IELTS. Will the CIC NS accept the IELTS valid until the date when they receive file from an applicant, although to provide file number may take another 3-4 months. At what time until they will consider once's IELTS report valid? Anybody have practical experience on this issue? Comments are much appreciated.

Hi there

Please refer to CIC document checklist form IMM5690E.

It clearly states that you need a valid IELTS report for NOC C+D.

Further to this, you copy the link from the CIC website that confirms that you are in NOC A and only NOC C+D require IELTS and send it with your application.

I have called the immigration offices in Winnipeg 2 weeks ago to ask this very same question as my report was almost at expiry at that point in time.

The officer (Sharon) confirmed that as long as your NOC code is O,A and B, and your IELTS report was valid at the time you first submitted your application online to MPNP you are clear. She also said that sometimes, but very rarely does CIC request a new report, if they do you can submit then.

My report just expired last friday, subsequently so did my EE profile. But I'm not in despair as I am confident the valid IELTS will be fine and my NOC code is in the clear.

Feel free to contact the officers in the winnipeg office just to set your mind at ease.

I would rather you send your application in with your expired test and the link.

Oncve again.......this is my experience and i urge you to call the offices in winnipeg.

My brother's sponsor had their interview end of june we did not hear anything from them after that.His status is still in process as well.This is so frustrating.When did you get your interview ?

i am also waiting from 7th of July 2015 but still have not yet received the LOA .. because im paper applicant so have no option to check the online status.. it is really frustrated..

When I got LOA my IELTS expired too. At the time of applying to CIC i applied with the old IELTS score and told them i would take another IELTS if needed. They never asked for another IELTS score and my file was processed and finally on 13th July i got Passport Request.

SO i would advise you to apply with the old IELTS score. If needed CIC will ask for a new one. BTW my IELTS score was very high. I got 7.

Hi There,

Even if you are a paper based applicant, you still have an option to find out by sending them an email asking your position. Send them a nicely written email concerning your status. Dont forget to mention your file number and the cause in the email subject box that will ensure faster reply on your status.

my file status change assessment pending to assessment in progress on 05/27/2015 and then it change back again assessment in progress to assessment pending on 05/31/2015.
i do not know what to do.

Congratulations!! May we know your timeline. I just want to know how long it took to receive LOA from the the status " Assessment In Process". Could you please let us know whether in that email, MPNP provided all necessary forms and directives to submit complete application to CIC NS. or It is just one page LOA?

Mine was a paper application so couldn't check my status.
My sponsor was interviewed on the 8th of July and i got the email on the 21st; it dated 17th of July
It's a page but you'll be given your certificate number on it, where you'll get forms to fill for further processes and the address to submit to.

Hi guys, i will be having my medical examination next week. im just curious, does weight have an impact to passing the med exam? well i mean, im underweight, my weight is not proportion to my height. LOL i know it sounds funny to worry about this stuff. but im curious and a bit paranoid. thank you all
