Im not quite sure for why does it takes too long on your pnp stage.. usually the time frame on processing applications differ from each country but from what i know that that is only on cic stage.. its really a case to case basis on each applicant.. some got it fast, for some it took a lot of time before they released their loa.. well atleast u know now they were still on it, and it isnt lost or anything^^ i hope all works well with ur application^^ a lil more patience and faith^^merovlaur said:Hello,
i did as you requested and i got an immediate reply from them.
They said my application has been assigned to an officer for review.
what does this means? i am from Ivory Coast. Is that the reason why it takes so long.

Hi Tabs 179,tabs179 said:No, it's after an applicant has landed.
So, basically, you applied less than the 18 months gap suggested by MPNP? According to my calculation, you submitted after 14 months of the other applicant's application. If this nephew has already received his visa and has landed before you applied, there won't be an issue. But if not, then, it will all depend on the case officer. Honestly, one cannot assume, as all these applications are on a case to case basis. The 18 months gap was given because it usually takes 18 months for an MPNP applicant to apply and then land successfully in Canada. This time frame might also only be used as a guideline, please read the response from MPNP again carefully.Eusufzai said:Hi Tabs 179,
Thanks for the info. I posted the response of MPNP regarding the timeline when a sponsor can support a friend or distant relative after he/she has supported previously. According to MPNP the difference should be 18 months or more since he supported a friend or distant relative. In my case, my friend submitted his nephew's application on 08.10.2012 to MPNP. I have submitted application to MPNP on 04.12.2013. My friend submitted SP2 on 12.12.2013. Now the 18 months barrier will be fulfilled on 15th of April, 2014. My friend is confident enough that MPNP will process my application, but they may ask new SP2 from my friend. Would you kindly let me suggest what should I do now. I am just wondering whether it will be better to withdraw and re-submit the application in May, 2014. Please kindly suggest me whatever you think is best for me.
Thank you for your kind cooperation, in advance. Wish you all the best.
