Here is my timeline: MPNP(CEM)
Nov 5, 2013 - Received application to NS
Dec 12, 2013 - AOR CIO
Jan 16, 2014 - MR & RPRF
Jan 27, 2014 - MR & RPRF done
Feb 6, 2014 - Medical results has been received(ECAS)

Anybody here who has the same timeline as mine? Happy waiting everyone.

Hi, I am an working graduate (been working for 10 months now), I emailed MPNP regarding going back to school after nomination (probably will get it in August, if it takes MPNP 6 months to process my app): "After nomination (working graduate received the letter of approval from MPNP), is one allowed to go back to school for a master's degree or another undergrad degree while the PR application is being processed by CIC? Or is that a violation against MPNP policy? Providing that the applicant still does intend to live and work in Manitoba after the studies. Thanks!”

MPNP responded: “You may return to school, however, if you do attend school before your Permanent Residency is approved, you will be required to obtain the study permit in order to do so.”

And then I realized I was not asking the question clear enough - what I meant is "Can I go back to school full time and work only part time while waiting for my application to be processed by CIC?" So I emailed MPNP again, but no responses. Would anyone be able to help me with my question? Suggestions? Thanks!

Use the Tracking Sheet very helpful to the applicants regarding on the Time Frame. There is "another tab" for CIC Application. Usually 30 days (+5/-5 Days).

Let me get this cleared, as a working graduate you hold a visa that allows you to work because you have studied in Canada, right?

You have to find out the restrictions of holding such a visa. I was also a working graduate in UK (aka post-graduate visa holder) and I completed my masters while holding that visa. It depends on each country.

If Canada doesn't allow you to study with such a visa, then that means you will need to get a student visa while waiting for your PR visa. Why not try contacting Immigrant Centre: http://icmanitoba.com/

hopefully, we are expecting to received it soon, so we can proceed on our target date of travel.. ;D btw, In process does not show on my ECAS status, only two lines which are; 1. Application received, 2. medical results has been received, just like your's afaik, coz was reading your previous posts. And probably, we're just hoping that there could be no additional docs to be asked.

That is normal, in due time, it will change to IN PROCESS. But that doesn't mean they will not ask for any additional documents. It all depends on the Visa Officer.
