Police Certificates and Clearances
You must get a police certificate from each country or territory where you have lived for six or more months in a
row since the age of 18. You are strongly encouraged to submit your police certificates with your application to the
CIO. If you are unable to obtain all the necessary police certificates, you may still send your application to the CIO
without them. However, we strongly recommend that you take steps to obtain your police certificates
now to avoid future delays. You must be ready to submit them when requested by an officer

Police certificate from the address you are staying? or ito yung NBI clearance?

We call it NBI sa pinas

ako rin po, I went to an agency here in Cebu, they told me that my profession could qualify in Manitoba, I can apply as an immigrant under MPNP and bring my family with me but my problem is I need two friends to nominate me which I don't have. Can somebody please help or advice me on what to do next? Salamat po ng marami.

Do you have a friend or relatives living in Manitoba.
You only need one sponsor to support you..

My 2nd day of journey today. Went to my HS alma matter and city hall to gather authentic documents. Monday will be PRC and college alma matter. Good evening fellow applicants..... Push na ito!

Hi Guys!

My brother-in-law will be the one endorsing me but the problem is there is no "brother-in-law" in the selection of relation to the applicant.
If I select "others" and indicate as "brother-in-law" the online form does not allow him to to be the one endorsing.

Can I tag my brother-in-law as "brother"?
Any suggestions on how to proceed?

Thanks
Erwin

As far as i know in-law are considered long distance/friends. Paki confirm na lang seniors.

I think, he will still be considered as FS, since he will be indicating that his wife is directly related to his brother in-law.

In our case our sponsor is my brother in law and principal is my husband so we indicate distant relative.

Hi tomasmrsfg,

Pls see below:

Familial relationships

http://www.immigratemanitoba.com/apply-to-mpnp/mpnp-eligibility/mpnp-connection-support/#family

To be considered a close relative, a Manitoba Supporter must be related to the applicant (or the applicant’s spouse) in one of the following ways:

sister or brother
niece or nephew (ie. child of your sister or brother)
aunt or uncle (ie. brother or sister of your mother or father)
first cousin (ie. child of your aunt or uncle)
mother or father
grandmother or grandfather

Both applicant and supporter must provide documents proving their familial relationship.

You can indicate your relationship as close relative, since your spouse has direct link with the sponsors. Even if your brother in-law is the supporter and your the applicant, they will require you to provide the proof that your wife & brother in-law are (brother/sister).

Hope that clarifies thing. Thank you.

If you have children living in Manitoba, they cannot be a MPNP Manitoba Supporter because this situation is the jurisdiction of Citizenship and Immigration Canada under its Family Class immigration.

What is the message on the form when you indicate him as brother in law.if you declare him as close relative/brother in law you have to upload his marriage contract and your sister's birth certificate to show your relationship.

Try to confirm coz my younger sister and her husband applied prior to us with same sponsor our brother in law, the principal applicant is my sisters husband who is an engineer applied under FS sad to say it was returned back to them ( all documents we're complete) and their documents was submitted directly by my sister in Manitoba.. And they said wrong category, so they said we have to apply under general stream which we did.

I think this are the new changes made by Manitoba, before it stated that only direct brother/sister/parents of the applicant can be considered as close relative, but now as stated in the url above. They included spouse whose brother/sister/parents (sponsor) as close relative, before they will consider you as distant relative.
