Hi Everyone,

I have another question. Regarding police clearances. Am residing in the Philippines, should I get NBI clearance or Police Clearance or both? Should I also get clearances for my wife and 2 kids (4 years old and 8 months old).

Sorry if my question sounds silly but I just want to make sure.

Thanks in advance.

police clearance is only applicable for the seniors "18yrs old and above", and for minors I think it is not necessary..
as what I have read in this forum some of the seniors here just submitted NBI clearance.

Hi Kurt,

Thanks, i got the link and have read it... '
>> the 4th question from the last part says to refrain contacting MPNP office regarding application status...
>> then i found another LINK http://icmanitoba.com/services/manitoba-nominee-application-centre/ is closing this MArch 31, 2013.

Tool mostly for online applicants??:
"As of April 1, 2013 we will no longer be able to provide Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program information sessions, individual appointments with Application Advisors, or assistance in filling out the online application forms. All clients requiring information about the Provincial Nominee Program should contact the Manitoba Department of Immigration and Multiculturalism directly:

Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program

Phone: 204-945-2806"

In the meantime Kurt, I'll just wait for the latest update from my sponsor... whether MPNP has contacted him for interview or not. I'll surely send inquiry to the link that you have provided me before this Month ends.

Thanks again & God bless ! hope your LOA fall this month!=)

Yes. There is a premise that we should refrain contacting MPNP. Hehe. It is your call and i doubt that there will be effects on our applications if we contact them, specially if we heard nothing from them in months.
By the way, the immigrant center is just an office wherein they can inquire or discuss things related in immigration, a help desk so to speak.
No problem mushie. Thanks, yes, i am expecting it this March. I will inform you guys. All the best. :D

Dear,

What's the date of Application your friend kurt & when his sponsor received call. Kindly mentioned the time lines.

Regards Rashid

Hi Everyone,

Could someone answer my question... do I need to pay the "Right of Permanent Residence Fee" , $490 x 2 right away for me and my wife? I believe that I need to attach the receipt of payment in my application package to CIO.

Thanks in advance. :-)

Are you in canada or outside canada

If in canada ...
Use the form you used in paying for the 550 processing fee and state the amount you are paying via credit card OR you can pay online via CIC and mail the online receipt with your details to VO OR Go to a bank and purchase a bank draft

Outside canada
Use the form you used in paying for the 550 processing fee and state the amount you are paying via credit card or contact people from your country to ask how to purchase a canadian bank draft in your country ...

NBI Clearance for you and your wife only. Don't delay sending your CIC application package if that's the only document missing. You can send it at a later date. Just an advice, do take your appointment online so that you will not queue the whole day in NBI. People are lining-up as early 1 o'clock early morning!

You don't need to, if you don't want to pay now. You can pay the processing fee only. Also, you can pay both fees ONLINE even if you're outside Canada. Be sure to print and fill-up the official receipt and enclose in your CIO application package.

Hi guys. Some few questions. In submitting application to CIO, do we need to submit notarized copies of authenticated docs (red ribbon) like the birth certificates, marriage certificate, police clearances, etc.?

thank you. :)

No. Just follow the checklist, if it says copies, just photocopy it. ;D
