Hello guys, we are still waiting for our friend in Winnipeg (who works in Calgary) to visit Winnipeg next month.
I have told him about my concern of having a negative impact to our application since he's working outside Manitoba.
He told me that he will confirm this issue with MPNP officer once he's there...so what we can do for now is continue praying and hoping for a positive feedback come August.

Hi Emperor,
You applied under strategic initiative thru exploratory visit, did you do a pre-arrange interview appointment with your prospective employers/companies before sending your letter of intent to do exploratory visit? How long did you stay in Manitoba during your visit? It seems that application via this stream is faster than GS.

Just looking for other options and preparing for plan B if plan A (GS) wont work for us...

Appreciate your kind reply :)

Hello expatinchina: I did not but if you can that will be fine. That might even speed up the confirmation of your invite for exploratory visit (EV). I started making contacts and arrangements to visit employers when I got my EV invite and my TRV issued by Canadian Embassy. The EV trip is between 7-10 days and would be stated in your EV invite email and towards the the end of the period will be interviewed by an immigration official of MPNP.

After my interview, I did asked the official how long it will take to get the nomination and he mentioned between 2-3 months after applying online. Though that has been revised now to 3-6 months due to summer break and increased work load.

All the best if you are looking at that option.

Hi everyone, i do have a question? i was sponsor by my uncle. The first application in mpnp i lack 10 points and 2nd application i lack 4 points to be able to get the 55 points for the passing score in MPNP. my uncle told me to be able to earned an additional points i should take an ielts test do you think it would help me to pass the mpnp? Do you know the ielts passing score in General training for manitoba provincial nominee ??? because im planning to pass another application in mpnp this coming aug. Thank you.

really appreciated your kind reply.

@filipinasadhart - in the first place - you should have assessed yourself ( points-based ) before you submitted your application. From there u would be able to know if you are qualified or not ( i mean most likely ) and it's not only IELTS that will make ur application be granted for APPROVAL. A lot of factors to be considered and each has corresponding points.IELTS falls only under language ability which OFCOURSE gives u a higher score if u get a high band. Most likely if u are a good conversationalist and good in listening/reading/writing, ull get a band of 8 the highest ( 13 POINTS under language? )...hope this will help.OTHER factors are important to complete/compromise with the entire application. KEEP ON PRAYING ok? cheers

I got my invite approximately a month after sending the request but currently it takes between 60 - 120 days to get an invite now.

Cheers.
