Hi rockmi! We basically have the same timeline. CIO received my application November 8. Yes, you're right the yard stick of 6 months stay in any particular country apply for residency requirement. In your case, Philippines still your country of residence because you're just new in Singapore. In CIC's website, Manila VO is shown as faster than Singapore VO in processing applicants. However, the processing still depends on several factors: such as the completeness of all the requirements you submitted to them, the results of your medicals, how soon you provide them with whatever they requested from you and the volume of applicants who applied in that VO.

In my case, I wish CIO will forward my application to Manila VO (which I selected in my application form) but they might actually send it to Abu Dhabi VO because I'm a long-term resident in the GCC (Qatar).

After CIO's review and evaluation, if our application found to be complete for further processing, they will forward our application to the respective VO they will select based on our residency and then basically we just need to wait for the medical request, then passport request and finally visa issuance/stamping. Based on current timelines, the whole process might take 6-8 months, depending on the officer reviewing our applications. Goodluck!

Hi
According to your post i understood you chose manila as vo but cio forwarded to UAE
Can i guess that all applicant who resident in gcc wherever he apply to any VO then its been forwarded to UAE ?!

As i am egyptian but lives in ksa and afraid of egypt long delay

Second question
UAE vo processing time is it long or short And how long roughly saying ?
Thank a lot hope you succeed

Hi drbassem!

Yes I chose Manila VO but it might be forwarded to Abu Dhabi as the case of several applicants in this forum.

If you are a long-term resident in the GCC, the CIO officer reviewing your application might select UAE to be the visa office to further process your application or it could also be Egypt. Anyway, if your application is send to any VO of their choice and wish to change it, you could communicate to them and file your request for changes. However, the merit of their decision might depend on where you are staying longer.

Based on what I have read and observed in this forum, it depends on the factors as I’ve mentioned earlier. There are applicants in UAE VO waiting long-time for their applications to get processed but there are also other applicants who had their applications got completed faster, within a period of 6-8 months.

My application ended-up also in ADVO even if I have indicated Manila as my processing VO. This is due to the fact that I have resided in KSA for the last 22 years and my family for the last 15 years. I was able to have my file transferred to KSA because I have left KSA for good last July.

It takes 5 to 6 months to get an MR from ADVO but recently the processing to PPR is fast. Try to send PM to JUJUANGEL and ELENA FABIAN. They have a few months back received visas. You can compare notes with them to decide whether you will request for a transfer. They were active in "ABU DHABI" thread. Just SEARCH for their posts. If your family is residing with you in KSA, most likely your request will be granted.

I am feeling excited really by your post
I live here for 1 year and half as resident and have iqama in ksa
And yes i have my father in ksa long like 10 years but he is not with me in the application as im solo or single
So you think i can choose ADVO as am resident here in gcc even i just resident for 1.5 years ?!

Thanks for your help

hi,

just want to ask help regarding the use of representatives form. I am quite confused if I should fill this up and sign it. The form changed from the first time I saw and used this from MPNP. Should I include this in my package even though I am not using one.

Thanks,

Hey Marky!

As per the checklist, it says:

"No. 8 Use of a Representative (IMM 5476)... Complete, date, sign and include this form in your application IF you have a paid or unpaid representative"

So, if you haven't got one then there's no need to include it. Myself, I did not include it. I just indicated in the checklist the word "Not Applicable".

Most likely they will grant your request since you're a single applicant. Cite in your request that ADVO is the most strategically located Visa Office to handle your application since you are residing in KSA. DO NOT mention anything about the present political unrest in Egypt as a reason for requesting the transfer.

Thanks a lot ad123
I am not supposedto justify why i choose ADVO rather than cairo
My question which i do not have a clear answer about the process time of ADVO . I was shocked when i saw cic.gc.com says it takes 28 months for pnp soooo long !!
While after reading some posts in abo dahbi topic here i noticed most of applicants do not take more than one year which story is correct ??

I hope to you the success in your future :)

Ohhhh Felling worried. I got 34days/25days waiting for my MR. I wrote CIO and they replied that my files had been sent already to VO manila.
Help pls with same scenario.

Tx
