Hello ad123164,

this is a delicate call for me to make. There are two things I know of Manila and ADVO. Manila is pretty fast and ADVO is known as one of the slowest just like Singapore VO. I really dont know if this will work, I would advice you ask Manila through an email if it is possible for you to ask for transfer of file and what is the implication in terms of where in the queue you would be. Sounds crazy ??? asking VO this kind of question, but maybe you want to try that. Otherwise search through the various threads in the forums to have an idea of how long a PNP applicant takes to get MR from ADVO after receipts of application from CIC, Nova Scotia. That will help you gauge the better option to go for.

I hope I have not complicated things here.?

Thanks Emperor...I think I made a decision already after looking in November 2012 and January 2013 tracking sheets wherein there are one applicant each whose file is in ADVO and until now have not received MR's. I will request ADVO to transfer my file to CEM with reference to the reply I received from CEM that my file is with them and citing my (and my family) near-future circumstances. Whew...ROUGH times ahead...but the TOUGH should get going... ;D ;D ;D

Absolutely right. Safe to say in this case, waiting for ADVO is not an option :D :D :D

BAD NEWS guys! My file was transferred by CIO to Abu Dhabi VO instead of Manila VO which I indicated in my application. :( :( >:(

Hi ad123164,

I want to share my experience to you. Me & my cousin applied the same time & we got approval almost the same time also. We are both working in dubai, uae. So in the application we both used dubai, uae as our mailing address & of course current country of residence. When we sent our application to CIO we overlooked where to put the visa office we wanted to process the application. We just change our mailing address to Phils. coz we wanted to process there (my reason I'm going back home by March coz I'm giving birth by April I planned already to stay for good & just wait visa. my cousin's contract will expire by august and planning to go back home also). We've thought changing the mailing adress to Phils means our application will be processed there also.
CIO received our application by February and we got AOR by March. I'm expecting MR by April coz usually Manila is sending it 1 month after receiving AOR from CIO. But its already Month of May & im not receiving anything so I tried to email Manila VO. after a week they replied saying that they are not the one processing my application, its ADVO. I felt really bad coz I know ADVO takes time.
What we did is we tried to email CIO and ADVO to transfer our file to Manila coz Im already here and my cousin is going back home by August. Just last week CIO replied they cannot take any action because my file was already transfered to ADVO. Any further information adressed it to the said office. ADVO replied the other day to me In response to ur request for file transfer please confirm that ur permanently relocated to Phils & not going back again to gulf region. My cousin received also but the response is Your request for file transfer was denied coz she need to be in the Phils.

i hope this will help to enlighten u. god bless

Thanks so much Kidlat! Your post really helped me get a clearer view on what will be my next action. I have actually replied to CEM email (informing that my file is with ADVO) this morning; since they are still working tomorrow and ADVO is not; stating of my near future circumstances and also asking whether they have inter-office communication facility that will enable them (CEM) to initiate the transfer of my file. I hope that I'll get a response from CEM. I'll send email also to ADVO on Sunday requesting the transfer of my application file. BTW, how long did ADVO replied to your request for transfer?

ADVO replied after a month.. there's no harm in trying. My cousin told ADVO to transfer the file to CEM. She explained that currently she's still in dubai, uae. By August she's going back home coz contract is finished. But ADVO denied to transfer her file. They want during the time of request ur in the country
where u want to transfer.
