Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! I remember, my husband and I had to let go of our dream of an elaborate wedding because we needed to be married the soonest. Our original plan was to name me as his common-law spouse but we were realized we better get married. And the thing is, I ended up being the Principal Applicant instead of the dependant spouse since qualifications wise, I had more points. ;D Can't help but share my story hehehe!switchlanes said:its all about timing and planning, am getting married by 19th of june, inorder to add my spouse into my cic application. my nomination is gonna expire by 30th of october, i was thinking is it better my spouse do the IELTS exams? cos i have spent so much on this planning..... :'(

I am new here, though I submitted my application last June 2012. I had my Medical Exam last April 25, 2013. When I checked just now this is what I read:
We received your application for permanent residence on January 23, 2013.
We started processing your application on May 22, 2013.
Question: What do they mean with "We started processing your application on May 22, 2013"?
Does that mean they already received my Medical results? Thank you.
God bless all of us.
You can have your medical exam anywhere. Just go with the email requesting you to do the medical. The clinic or hospital knows how to send it to the relevant visa office handling your application.Wuqaw said:Hi, I have got an email from London that I have to do medical exam for MPNP. My address is in Europe and they expect to me to do the exam from Europe. But I am now in Africa for vacation and may not be back to my address in Europe soon. My question is I am allowed to do the exam in Africa (in one of the clinics suggested by the visa office) and send it to London. I have not changed my address in Europe and therefore should not change my visa office in Africa (Nairobi). Could you please let me know your comment soon.

Congrat. I included the original and a copy in order to fulfil both requirements. There were other seniors that had included only photocopy of the LOA and they have received their PR visa already.skbrar123 said:hi everyone today I got my LOA......
now preparing for next step
I am confused about one thing and I need your help seniors. There is written that I have to attach original copy of LOA in application but in application checklist it is written written that we have to attach photo copy of LOA...
what exactly we have to do...
The requirements of Provincial Nominee (PNP) is different from Federal Skilled Worker (FSW). The principal applicant need only provide IELTS result and not the spouse. But you can go ahead and have her take it since you still have time before the expiration of your LOA.switchlanes said:its all about timing and planning, am getting married by 19th of june, inorder to add my spouse into my cic application. my nomination is gonna expire by 30th of october, i was thinking is it better my spouse do the IELTS exams? cos i have spent so much on this planning..... :'(

Yes you are right its typo error its July 2012. so existed so made mistake.ramcal said:hello naik13,
..must be typo error on some numbers, like 2013, should be 2012..
..anyway, my sponsor was interviewed last april30, up to now, i havent received my LOA yet??? if you dont mind, can you tell us from what country are you presently residing? im from philippines, so if we are from the same country, i would be expecting to received it within this week? keeping my fingers crossed.. :
Hi ramacal, if you dont get in week or so, ask your sponsor to do a polite call to mpnp and just ask them if they dispatch anything or not. my sponsor did samething and they replied on last week that they have dispatch some letter a day before my sponsor called.ramcal said:...ive sent an inquiry last week, 1 week has passed but still no response ? ive sent my personal email, so, i am expecting to get a response there, right? do you think , i need to send again? thanks again :
RAC1987 said:Most probably it means your application is incomplete since you do not received ur AOR. I do not know if you could appeal but if you want, you could submit a new application tru online as I had experienced the same. I applied last Dec 2012 (GS-MAil, I am the 1st person that my uncle will sponsor and they are not that stable finacially since my auntie just gave birth that time and she cannot work) and received the Letter of Rejection with almost the same reason, plus IELTS. My sponsor was not able to include their Health Card in my application when they submitted it. So the reason of my refusal is Proof of Residence of my sponsor and my Ability in English. But I received my letter personally last August 2012, letter dated July 20, 2012 together with my entire application.
So in order to comply, I review and took my IELTS last October 2012 and last December 2012 I was able to send a new application tru online-Family stream. It took me that long because I need to renew my passport and my sponsor also renewed their Permanent Residency Card coz it's expiration was last Nov 2012.
And last May 17, I received my LOA. It is I believed, God's perfect plan for me, since there are still June 2012 applicants (GS-Mail) who are still waiting for their interview up until now. That even if I re-apply still, I was able to received my decision earlier than them. Maybe if I appealled and continue to be a GS applicant still I am waiting...
