Hello guys,

The topic sums it up. I shall be recieving a 1 year OCWP PGWP and shall start work in Feb. I need 6 months of continous employment before I can file for my MPNP. now my question is - Should i need to go to my native country in case of pending marriage for 2 weeks, would it jeapordise my continous 6 month clause or can i work the two extra weeks when i return ?

Thanks

Hello,

Call MPNP. I had a similar situation and AINP clarified that I need one year experience and it is not necessary that it has to be continuous.

hello...

here I can answer this: all you need is a letter of employment that states start date.
Example: start date : Jan 01 ,2013
you are entitled to file MPN : June 01, 2013 ** the officer doesn't care if you went for holidays or not - you are entitled too go where you want **

that said : they base there approval on the start date of your job letter and the interview which will be conducted by the officer. When I say interview that means the officer will interview your employer ( supervisor / whoever signed your job offer letter) and there is NO way they ask how many holidays have you taken so far.

some questions asked by the officer to the employers are : how many interview did you conduct before deciding to hire ABC?
wage ?
in short JOB related questions ... hope this helps

Thanks. as corrected above i meant PGWP and not OCWP

Also, while im on the topic, here is a follow up question.

The study permit expires in march 2014 along with the visa. Should i have a PGWP by then and wish to travel to my country in summer, on what Visa am i returning back ? is the PGWP sufficient or do i need a new category visa and can that be applied for from here before leaving for my native country ?>

Thanks

once you get your PGWP you qualify under : Apply for a new temporary resident visa from within Canada ( this is for the permit holder)

I would strongly recommend to apply your Visa from here then take your holidays :)

Hello,

Call or email MPNP. Let is come form the horse's mouth.

Most of the work experience based immigration categories do not insist that the work experience has to be continuous. You are required to fulfill the minimum eligibility requirement before applying.

Best of luck.

Leave means you are still employed with the company.
So go home and get married, File your MPNP once you have 6 months work ex.

Good Luck !
