Moving wife to Dependant Visa from Work Visa

Hi

Both me and my wife are on separate work permits, WP for my wife is going to expire. We are expecting a child, Can I move my wife to my dependent visa.
Can she still hold the Medical benefits as my dependent ?

Yes you can change her status to dependent. I am not sure if this is true for every province but health card is issued to dependants in Ontario.

Thanks for your reply, Any idea how can i do it and before how long should I start the processing. Her visa expires in October end and she would go on leave starting July

She will have to exit and re-entry as a visitor (under your permit). Call CIC to verify what is the exact procedure and what you might need in case you are not from Visa exempt country.
