I'm assuming you're the biological father of the baby, and that the baby is a Canadian citizen? That would be a positive factor in your case. Also, how long ago did you get married?
Regarding your status in the US, you said that you had been without legal status since May 2017, it means you already had over 180 days of unlawful presence, which, by itself, is a ground to bar you entry to the US for 3 years. If you have accrued over 360 days, then the ban would be 10 years.
And regardless whether you accrued less than 360 days or more than 360 days of unlawful presence, if you had been ordered removed, you would be banned for 10 years.
This probably goes without saying, for you to have any chance at all for a future in Canada, you must disclose ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING in your Canadian immigration application to the best of your knowledge.
You would check 'yes' to the question if you had been removed, and you would check 'yes' for any other questions that may apply to you (such as overstay, rejected refugee claim, etc).
And I hope you have been a person of good moral, and has never been arrested, charged or convicted of any crime (or misrepresentation) anywhere in the world.
And of course, the marriage has to be genuine as well. And if you are being truthful about everything, no criminal record and the marriage is genuine, I don't see any reason why they would reject you (though nobody can guarantee anything).
