Hi Friends,

I got ITA under CEC category and I am currently working in Canada. But it looks like my assignments might gets over in upcoming months or it is possible to get extended also. So If I am submitting the documents now, what should I do in case I am moving out of the country. How this will impact my PR application.

Experts Opinion please.

No impact to the PR application. Go ahead. You don't have to be living / working in Canada to apply under CEC.

Thanks Scylla.

Actually I have claimed the job offer points to met the CRS score. So If I leave the country after few months after I submitted the PR application, the job offer points I have obtained won't get void?

In case if I moved to my home country, will I be able to submit the passport from there in local VFS office?

It depends all depends on who has issued such offer and if your employment terminating would also null this offer? In theory it should mean that you would lose these points but they will most certainly verify with whomever issued this letter that the offer still stands.

You will just need to raise a WebForm and let IRCC know about your change of address. They will then reassign your file to the corresponding visa office as needed. Maybe not for the actual processing of it but certainly for its completion (this will determine where you'll have to submit your passport to have your visa stamped, etc)
