Hi everyone,
Can someone please advise on my critical case. I'm really worried and actually scared because I'm really counting on the Canada PR application.. which is now undergoing a background check (IP2 stage), and I am supposed to expect the Canadian Visa office in Singapore (the country where I worked and applied online from) to contact me to stamp the visa anytime from now.
Recently, the Singaporean government started making it harder for foreigners to be employed, just so local citizens could replace them. Now given that, I got affected by the new trend and my Visa renewal got rejected. I cannot stay anymore and need to leave very soon. I'll travel to the US and stay there for a few months. In the meantime, I'm waiting for the Canadian Visa office in Singapore to contact me.
Should I inform CIC about my new address in US/Iraq to transfer my application to the US or my home country Iraq? Or shall I wait for the email to come from Canada's Visa office in Singapore and travel there again as a visitor to stamp the visa?
I communicated my situation to them through the online form, and all I got is that they're working on it and will inform me when the result is out. This doesn't tell me anything. Has anybody been in this situation? Help please! I really can't jeopardize my application. I don't want it to get rejected when the office realizes I'm not anymore a resident of Singapore!
