Moving had bad effect on future application ? (in same province)

Hi,

I read in some post here something that doesn't make sense to me (that moving can have bad effect on application). I am asking the senior and knowledgeable member to clarify please.

So I will be sending my application Next month and I am also will be moving in month or 2, need bigger home as wife and daughter will come soon join me in Canada.

-1 if true why it should have bad effect ? we are not living in a prison, we have right to move where ever and whenever we want if we find better house. So what is the reason behind it ?

-2 Can I apply with my current address and then change it and send my new address to CIC or it is better that I first get my new home and send the Application directly from new one (which will be perfect if I move in a month) but if it take more time for me to find a house is it worth waiting ? With that new law coming in force any moment I don't want to risk it

Please advise, what is the best option.

dear friend,
moving from one address to another has no effect on the application at all. However, if you moving to different city where the local office is different then there will be a delay for transferring your file from your old local office to the new one. i was told this delay is up to three months and you will be subjected to the new office timeline. honestly, i wouldn't worry about it. just apply when you meet the requirement.

That's exactly what I did and a got my citizenship in 7 months. Very smooth process

Is it easy to inform them for address change (inside same city) ?
