Moving car to Canada after PR - Emmission inspection in US URGENT question

I am moving my car to Toronto after my landing.
I figured out today that my emission inspection overdue in NJ. Will that affect importing my car to Canada? (US customs or Canada customs?)

Is your check engine lights on? . Either ways i guess it is advisable that you need to have emission inspection done co'z there's a penalty for that $60.

Yes I am planning to get it done.
Check engine lights is NOT on.
