Hello, i have a question... I am a Canadian citizen and so is my 2 year old son but my wife is not, we are living in Greece and we would like to move to Canada. Can we go right away to Canada and do the application for my wife's permanent resident card from there? (she does not need to work in Canada in the meantime) If anyone can answer this, i would be very grateful. Thank you.

Do your wife need a visa to come to Canada?

If your wife needs a visa to go to Canada, then you would have to apply for one. If she gets a visit visa, you can all go to Canada together and apply to sponsor her for PR from inside Canada. If she can't get a visit visa, you'd have to either go to Canada alone or sponsor her from outside.

so they can deny her a visa? is that a possibility? thank you for the info!

Yes it is possible they deny her visa.

Please don't forget to check/apply for little child's Canadian Passport. For travel Canadian Citizenship card is not enough.
