Moved & Changed Job After Submittal! Do I need to do anything?

Hello!

I've already applied for Permanent Residency for Canada through Express Entry in August. I did the Medical exam, etc. I did the Background Check, etc. I've already been invited, etc.

I recently received an e-mail from CIC to submit to them two copies of my face ( as per photo requirements), a copy of my US Passport, and a copy of the letter.

Here's my situation and question.

I submitted my paperwork and got invited, with everything submitted at the end of August. By September or so ( after submittal) my father became very ill, and I wanted to move back to the USA to be closer to him to help out. I managed to transfer within my company back to the US in a city close to my father.

So I moved all my belongings, I had given Canada Post a forwarding address within the city I lived in ( My Canadian Fiance's parent's house ). I still have accounts in Canada, and my RRSP ( as far as I know ) is stuck so I am keeping the RRSP.

Do I need to report this to CIC in order for my permanent residency application to continue? Is there any wrongdoing by not reporting this? I know I saw something that said I need to update CIC with my address so that nothing gets lost in the mail, but no where did I see I need to report a change of job, a change in address. Express Entry's online system very poorly identify how I can update records.

Can anyone give me some input on this? Again - at the time of submittal, everything on my application was correct.

Eventually when I marry my Canadian Fiance, we will deal with the paperwork then for my permanent residency. If anyone has input on that, please feel free.

Any travel or change of non-LMIA supported job after AOR has no effect on your PR application. Send a CSE to CIC intimating them about change in address though.

Hello Avisad Anac,

Do you know if that is also the case for going on maternity leave? I have also already gotten an AOR. I am on an open work permit so my job is non-LMIA supported. Do you know if I need to inform them of this too? Thanks

You can go on maternity leave while your PR application is under process. Nothing to be informed to CIC unless you are moving to another city or country while on leave.

All the best for the application and more!

Hello Asivad,

I have a similar situation. My PR application is in process now with medical passed only. I submitted my application while I was in Bangladesh. But I have moved to Qatar on a Company sponsored visa working for a new company last week. So, is there a requirement to update my new present address and my new job. My NOC remains the same also my parents are still living in the Bangladesh address given in PR application.

Please advise!

Thanks
