Move money from USA to Canada

Hello everyone!
We recently got our ICT approved and moving from US to Canada in a couple of weeks.
I wanted to ask what is the best way to move money around? I don’t prefer to take cash and bank transfer is giving me really bad conversion rate. Any advise will help.

Have you considered opening a USD bank account in Canada and then transferring USD? Solves the exchange rate problem.
