Hi All,
My mother's first name in my passport is different then her passport. Also in my passport i have her middle name which is not there in her passport. But in my birth certificate her name is matching with name in her passport. So now this name discrepency only in our passports, see below example:

My passport : Mother name as 'A' 'B' 'C' (first, middle & last name).
Mother's passport : Name as 'X' 'C' (only first & last name).
My birth certificate: Mother's name as 'X' 'C' (only first & last name, matching with Mother's passport).

So the question is will there be any problem if i apply for my parents visa? Do i need to provide my passport last page which has parents name in it? if i don't need to provide last page of passport then my birth certificate will work as relationship proof.

Please advice, thanks alot.

Is it stated anywhere that you have to provide your passport as your identification? Could you use your PR instead? If you have to provide your PP and there are any irregularities I would provide ALL you have to make the right connections and include a clearly written cover letter to spell it out.

The name on her passport is the name you use for applications. Any other names she uses, including the name on your passport, should be included in the application if there is a question on that, which most Canadian immigration applications have. Also, attach a letter with supporting documents explaining the discrepancies.
