mother's middle name (maiden name) clerical error on birth certificate

I will be sponsoring my husband but we saw a clerical error on his birth certificate, on his mother's middle name (maiden name) is spelled as "mamOyac" and it should be "mamUyac". When we registered our marriage certificate, his mother's middle name "mamUyac" is spelled correctly. So the problem now is when i submit his papers this August, her mother's middle name (maiden name) appeared as MAMOYAC on the birth certificate and MAMUYAC on our marriage certificate. will they still accept his application? or should we have to change it first before passing the application forms? will it delay the processing if we will not submit the correct one? PLEASE HELP THANK YOU!!!!
