Hi,

My mother-in-law Visitor visa rejected twice for the below reasons.

First Try:

• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on your travel history.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on your family ties in Canada and in your country of residence.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status.

Second Try:

• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status.

I am 7 months Pregnant and I have invited my mother-in-law for this.

Please advise.

@Bryanna could you please advise. I am on permanent resident and I am 31 weeks pregnant, I am trying to invite my mother in law to be with me here in my delivery as I do not have husband or family here. My husband is on Outland sponsor visa. My parents could not be here as well. I have provided invitation letter for my mother in law for the duration of 2.5 months, she is a homemaker. But twice I got rejected. Please advice.

Bryanna has taken a break because od a family tradgedy. Unfortunately coming to Canada because someone is pregnant and you need help is considered work. Unfortunately saying you were pregnnant is the big problem. Has your MIL ever travelled to countries similar to Canada? That could be another reason? Does she have the funds to pay for her own travel and expenses? Not sure where she is from but that is another reason for her furst refusal. I would try to find a plan B because she is unlikely to be approved after 2 refusals.

Thank you @canuck78 for responding. Sorry to hear about Bryanna. My MIL has not travelled anywhere international, this is her first trip if her Visitor visa is approved. I have justified/explained in my letter of invitation about "Travel History" during my Second try. She is showing $8300 CAD in her account and in addition I am showing $12000 in my account. She is from India. I am trying to see if I can increase her account balance from $8300 to $12000 CAD. Also my understanding is "Personal asset and Financial status" is still different from "Insufficient Funds to carry out for trip/Travel".

For Purpose of Visit: I am submitting my Doctor's letter, Doctor's Visit Receipts, Ultrasound.
For Personal Asset and Financial Status: I am submitting CA Evaluation with proofs for my MIL, Bank Certificate, Bank Balance, Financial support letter notarized from my Father-in-law supporting her travel
For Travel History: A justification as to this is her first international travel
For Family Ties in Canada: Affidavit saying that she is my MIL, Marriage Card, Marriage Photos (3), Marriage Certificate, Spouse Passport scanned pages, My Passport pages.
For Family Ties in India: IMM5645 family background form saying all her relative resides in India with the exception of myself.
Travel Duration is : 2.5 months with Booked Travel Ticket.

Not Sure what else I should submit to get her visa approved.

2.5 months of travel is too long a trip for somone with no travel history. You should request a 2-3 week trip.

Thank you @scylla , wont it be misrepresentation if I saying in my "Third application try" 2 to 3 week, as I showed "2.5" months in my previous 2 tries. I am not sure now what to do with booked tickets for 2.5 months.

If you have submitted proof of the ticket you will have to continue asking for 2.5 months. You really need to have a plan B. After 2 refusals an approval is difficult.
