Mother’s Visitor Application Refused (GC key)

My mother in law’s visitor visa application got refused today

Reason:
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status.

She doesn’t have any assets. My husband showed his employment letter, tax certificates here and bank statement of $7000
While my Mother in law’s account statement was $4500 (not maintained) my husband deposited in her account bit by bit!

Any personal experiences pls? If I want to reapply what should I do?

How long was the visit? Your husband’s assets are not her assets unless applying for a super visa. So you put money into her account so officers will need to know where the money came from when you reapply.

2 months. Yup you’re right I think that’s the reason they want to know the source of income otherwise it just looks like show money kind of situation

In general both her assets and your assets are quite low. What ties did she show to prove she will return home?

2 months is a long time and your husband and your mother both have low funds.

How long did she she ask to visit and was there a specific reason for the visit?
