Most likely a silly question

I know I could most likely find the answer on here already, but just thought if take the time to ask. We got our AOR but no SA yet, but in our letter they sent it gives us two numbers to use. I was hoping to be able to log on to ecas but I know it's still early. My question is what number to use?

One of them is 8 numbers dash or anything xxxxxxxx but says UCI next to it but doesn't work when I try to use it to log in. The second one is Fxxxxxxxxx ?

Can anyone assist me here? Is it just too early to access it even though we got our AOR?

I used my UCI number to access my ECAS ... the other number that starts with F is your file number

I found that early on in the process only the file number worked on ECAS. I think you're probably too early at this point. It often takes a couple weeks before you're in the system.

On cic it says your UCI number should have a dash in it xxxx-xxxx but mine doesn't? I assume this doesn't really matter?

Mine don't have any dashes either .. your fine

as far as i know, UCI number is used to log into the sponsors app status, and the file number is used to log into the applicants app status. for example, if you are the sponsor, you use UCI, and put in all your info

Mine was the opposite. File number worked for sponsors app and UCI worked for principal applicant. Either way, one of them ought to work once you're in the system.

Ok, that UCI on that particular file is for your sponsor. If your hubby is the sponsor you would use that UCI along with his last name/birthdate/birthplace. Try it that way and see what you get.
