Calvados! I read on the Russian forum that your wife got Visa! CONGRATULATIONS! 5 months from AOR and Sandra 4.5 months. So this would be April for my wife and I if we follow similar timing.

I can only imagine how high on life you're feeling right now!

Cheers and Nazdarovya!

Thank you shwangt2! Yes, it took 5 months in Moscow and close to 7 months with Mississauga. We are very excited about this!

7 months in mississaiga??

Nooo! 1 month in Missisauga and 1 month to reach Moscow.

congratulations Calvados!
i emailed Moscow the other day asking them if they have received my application and what is the current wait time before the file is assigned to an immigration officer. they replied saying they dont have my wife in their PR database. and its possible that we received the application but did not assign it. Note that as soon as its assigned the principal applicant will receive aor

Freaking 10 weeks ago my file was transferred and its not even assigned yet

Hey Dmitri,

I can understand you're frusterated, and I would be too...

On the Russian forum (rusforum.ca) there are several people that didn't receive anything and they were ahead of us in sponsor approval by a month or two. But, just recently before xmas they were given an update. I'm not sure what has happened with Edmman unfortunately, because he hasn't written here in some time, but I would think he must have gotten his by now also.

It really is strange how things are operated and there is not obvious reason. Some people get letter shortly after sponsor approval and it takes over 7 months to get PR and others get accepted after only 2.5 months!

I wouldn't write them anymore and just know that for sure your application is not lost and you will most likely get that letter in the next few weeks. Be patient and if your have a strong relationship basis, you will have zero problems...

I'm not trying to butter anything up but just express what I think... I know this is a stressful process! Hang in there and you will forget this period once it's all over, and it will be over quickly, relatively speaking (life).

This girl from rusforum just received her aor on the 25th and her documents were sent from mississauga to moscow on Dec 2 and aor dated dec 21
my documents were sent nov 15 and still nothing.

i was gonna pm eddmann but it looks like he deleted his account
ill just wait till Feb 7, it will be 3 months since it was sent

Who received AOR on 25th?

Loli is her user name there

Hmmmmm...I don't understand the sequence of things ???

me neither. what if the application is lost :-X. now i am getting these crazy thoughts

Wow a lot of activity on rusforum rhese past couple of days.i am underestimaring numbee of people sponsoring spouses from russia

Yeah, More activity lately. There's a rush of approvals which could be caused from a large backlog that needs to start processing! :D

Things will slow down next week I think back to normal.

Dmitri,

Someone on immigration tracker got AOR today after just shy of 3 months since sponsor approval. He/She requested CAIPS last week and thinks it might have something to do with it, but I think it's just coincidence, who knows.

So you could expect something soon. FYI.

Finally got aor with file number.does it mean in process?
