That looks like a disguised advertising, like 99% of messages on mortgage in this forum.
Sad reality.

Canada should have a better regulation like some European countries.

The only example of equifax (a foreign company !!!) is a nonsense.

It looks like Canada copied USA with this stupid and dangerous concept of credit score. Impossible to see it in France, legally, that’s challenging, too intrusive.

Why do Canadians still agree to keep it ? They don’t care about their privacy ? They don’t care that some foreign compagnies know everything about their lives?!

They think there’s no alternative?

The other one is Transunion.

Being foreign entity, doesn't mean Canadians don’t care about their privacy.
That’s my point. That’s an aggravating circumstance. This whole system is problematic and, as usual, it’s a copy paste from USA. USA should not be an example for everything.

After your purchase offer has been accepted, it is necessary to develop a mortgage deal. Your mortgage broker should make sure of your income (recent payslips, P60 and bank statements or accounting documents in the case of individual entrepreneurship, etc.)

No P60 in Canada.
