Applying for a Temporary Resident Visa
Below are the steps to follow to apply for a temporary resident visa. You are responsible for satisfying the visa officer that you are a visitor who will leave Canada after a temporary stay. It is, therefore, in your interest to present relevant and complete documentation to help us examine your application. By including any document that could explain your personal, professional and financial situation, you can demonstrate that you have ties that will ensure your return to Morocco. Any missing documentation may result in the refusal of your visa application. If there is any uncertainty, the visa will be denied. In addition, if you make any false statements or provide false information, your visa will be refused and you may be inadmissible for at least two years.
Fill Out the Forms
Fill out and sign one "Application for a Temporary Resident Visa Made Outside Canada" (IMM5257) and one "Additional Family Information" form (IMM5406) per family: applicant, spouse and children under 18 years, even if they are not travelling with you. You must answer all the questions, and your application must be truthful, complete and accurate. For each potential visitor, enclose with the completed forms two recent passport sized photos and his or her passport, which must be valid for at least six months and must have at least two blank pages in it.
Gather the Relevant Documentation for Your Application
It is your responsibility to obtain, gather and submit all your supporting documents with your application form. Do not send us your documents before submitting your application. You must present original documents and photocopies of them, as well as English or French translations of Arabic documents. The documents listed below are only the minimum to include with your application.
For a private visit, attach the following:
* proof of earnings and funds for the person paying for the trip
* a work certificate, stating your title, salary and seniority
* an excerpt from a statement of pension contributions, such as the CNSS
* bank statements for at least the past six months
* if someone other than the applicant is paying for the trip, specify the relationship
* if the person paying for the trip lives in Canada, attach a copy of his or her most recent notice of assessment or that of his or her spouse
* if you have been invited by someone, attach a letter of invitation
* proof of each potential visitor's ties to Morocco, such as
o a work certificate, stating title, salary and seniority for each of that person's jobs over the past two years
o a recent transcript (for students)
o bank statements for at least the past six months
o if the person is not working, documents pertaining to his or her activities over the past two years
o an excerpt from a statement of pension contributions, such as the CNSS
* for minors, attach
o a certificate of enrolment in school
o certified parental authorization signed by the parent or parents who is or are not travelling
For a business visit or an official visit, attach the following:

* proof that your company can pay for the trip, such as commercial or other registration, letters of patent, IGR, financial plan or proof of funds
* requests for an official or diplomatic visa must be accompanied by a diplomatic note issued by the Moroccan Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation or by your embassy;
We recommend providing former passports as proof of previous travel.
