Hi,

I sent my spouse sponsorship application, but some documents were missing, they sent me the application back and give me 90 days to send the whole application again, currently I'm in a project overseas, can I send them to give me more time, if so what information should I put in the letter?

Thanks

You can request a further extension, but I wouldn't hold my breath that it would be granted.

Thanks for reply, should I send them a letter, or fax, is there a template for this?

Thanks

If its CPC-Mississauga they will only deal with mail or fax. Their fax number is 1-905-803-7392. What was exactly missing from your application that you cant get now? I did most of my application overseas so Im just curious why you would delay your application any further?

Thanks Boncuk, the documents are bank statements, and rental lease, but the point is that I have to be physically in Canada to sponsor my wife, I have a PR not citizenship, so if I send the application while I'm outside Canada they will refuse it.

Oh.. well that is a different story.. but im curious why they needed bank statements and a rental lease .. anyway. thats unfortunate that you have to wait so long.. best bet is asking for an extension so that you can establish yourself again or just reapplying when you are ready..

Thanks Boncuk, just like to know the times in your posts are they for sponsorship application?

For me they asked for option C-Printout, bank statements, rental lease, driving license, health card photocopy, is it strange to ask for these documents?

Thanks

Probably because CIC doesn't believe the OP is residing in Canada.

first, i am in the same boat as you...i am running out of time for the 90 days.

- were you granted an extension after 90 days to submit proofs?
- what reason did you state for an extension?
