More than 3 years old Canadian work experience calculation under Express Entry

I am applying for Express entry under NOC 7242 and the work experience i obtained from working in my home country and have more than 2 years of experience in a different NOC in Canada as well.
My question is

Does my Canadian work experience counts towards EE ?

So long as it's in skill group 0, A or B. Not sure if for your CRS that it needs to be in the last 3 years or if that's just for CEC.

Can I ask why you're not using the NOC from your Canadian experience? That seems an odd choice...
