Hello All,

I have already landed previously and was in Canada for two weeks.

I will be moving soon to Canada. I have couple of queries.

I recently bought some stuff and is not listed on goods to follow form. How do I declare it now without paying duties?

Also I will be importing my car and have listed in generic section of goods to follow form and not in conveyance section. Will it cause any issues when I import my car?

Any guidance is greatly appreciated

Each traveler has their 48 hours absence exemption of $800. You just be honest and declare it.

Where and how do I declare it?

Car is OK.
What extra items are we talking about? Laptops, Electronics, Big tables or small stuff?
Electronics - Soundbar, iPad and a basic printer. Some small stuff. All under $800 CAD (I Guess).

Isn't this 800 CAD exemption for Residents of Canada who are returning from a foreign trip after absence of 48 hrs.

OP only did soft landing and is not a resident of Canada.

Also for temporary residents of Canada.

Right. Temporary resident would be a Student on study permit or temporary foreign worker on Work permit. Original Poster is none of these.

As long as original poster is honest to declare them, why do he even worry?

I will be traveling by road. How do I declare it? Does $800 CAD exemption apply for me?
