All of us feel this way right now. The moratorium will be ending really soon. We're just 37 and some odd hours away from the adjournment of parliament for the rest of the summer. Today, the news media has been completely silent on the issue of the TFW program. However, they're now beginning to report that the day of Kenney's announcement is near and even Kenney himself is beginning to say that. He has actually already announced one of his new ideas for reforms concerning data and statistics collection on quarterly job vacancies and wage rates in different regions across the country. This information will be used in the LMO decision-making process. Also, the Globe and Mail has recently reported that during the first quarter of 2014, the highest vacancy rate was in the food service sector and that rate has since increased due to the moratorium.

There are other reforms Kenney has to announce before the moratorium can be lifted. He won't announce the final decision on the moratorium until all the changes are up and running.

What's so sad to hear? I'm hoping that the moratorium will be lifted by the end of the month too. It probably will be, but I can't be too sure. Once Parliament adjourns this Friday afternoon, I don't see why it would take them over another week or two to finalize these reforms and lift the moratorium. Nothing would be standing in their way then.
