I haven't got COPR yet but I got another request letter in my CIC portal for my outland dependents for their international passports (nigeria). The request letter states that i should only send my outland dependent's passport 60 days after i've got my confirmation of PR.

Today, Got from MP inquiry:

• Medical Pass
• Security verification passed
• Criminality verification passed
• File assigned to Montreal office on Sep 22, 2021, due to statutory questions
• Eligibility under review
• Background verification Passed.

My wife has one previous refusal on SOWP in March 2021 (Applied in Sep 2020) and another application of SOWP is in progress from April 2021.No update so far only medical updated. Same I mentioned in PR statutory questions.

Any thought what it means “File assigned to Montreal office on Sep 22, 2021, due to statutory questions”.

I and my wife are living apart for the last 1.5 years due to visa issues.

Unfortunately 6 months is expected timeline so you need to be patient with the wait. I can understand frustration and wish you all the best
