how does Montreal compare with other VOs in terms of speed?
In 2018 when Ottawa used to process application on an average in 3 months, Montreal's average was 7/8 months. Montreal is not going to set any processing speed records now in age of Corona virus. Miracles can happen and you could be extremely lucky but brace for a long(ish) wait.

I got a ghost update today too! My AOR is also Jan 13 2020 with VO Montreal, but I’m FSW outland.
I got another "Application/profile updated" in my account about two hours ago, but currently I cannot check the full application status. It keeps showing bad gateway (error 502).

It seems to be a glitch that a few people (myself included) are experiencing at the moment. Hopefully, it's an actual update.

All stages past sept 21, application approved oct 9.. no correspondence from ircc (FSW-O USA). Will I receive direct copr since I’m US citizen and don’t need a visa or will it still be PPR?

It is still PPR. The PPR letter would tell you that if you are a citizen of a country who does not need a visa to enter Canada , you need to send a photocopy of your passport.

Interesting why some US citizen is seeking for Canada PR. Please share if you are open to.

My timeline
VO: Montreal - FSW
AOR: Aug 2019, ADR: Mar 2020, Renew medial (Pass) Oct 15 2020.

Are you still waiting for your PPR? Mine is Sept, 2019, and I have been waiting and waiting..

Congrats!!!
Are you still waiting for your PPR? I applied in September, 2019 and have been waiting and waiting too..but yours take the cake, don't know anyone else who's been waiting since April 2019? Have you called? What do they say?

Is anyone else having trouble accessing their application after seeing a ghost update (application/profile updated) with a 502 bad gateway result? Apparently, this happened to loads of people on Friday.
