On immitracker mine is now the oldest application on record for the Montreal VO that is still open, behind only some Russian dude who appears to have been put into SS.

I just got off a call with a CIC agent, she told me that I passed eligibility and the background checks and there is no set timeline as to when I'll get the request for Visa email. Apparently there's nothing to be done other than wait. I had a ghost update on Feb 28th and was expecting a PPR email soon based on the experiences of folks on this thread but looks like the excruciating waiting game continues for me. July 24th AOR, FSW-I

LOL I'm on the wait queue to talk to them RIGHT AT THIS INSTANT and ask the exact same question. Lets see what they'll say.

Well, on the bright side your application is approved. Which is a big big relief :). Congratulations (almost)

I have actually heard people talking about telling the agent to send like a follow up to the visa officer or the office in charge; I might bre wrong tho as I just saw someone say sthg like that on one of the numerous groups I am...not sure if it is this one or any other one. Something else is sending a Webform like a case enquiry bla bla bla....you just wont really wanna sit there knowing it is approved. My thoughts tho just thinking out loud

I got more or less the same response as gv58. All the checks are completed, BG is done, all looks positive, just waiting on the "final decision", etc etc.

Judging by gv58's timeline, it should just be a couple more months now. Should have it by October.

lolz well I did call them yesterday and was told that Background (criminality and security) is ongoing

Well your AOR is Aug 31st, mine's almost a month earlier than yours. Then there's the fact that you had to add your spouse mid-application. I'd expect that to increase processing times. And then, unlike gv58, I JUST got this ghost update like 2 days ago. His application has been just sitting there in an approved state with no PPR since late February. Based on this you can expect your BG to be finalized only a month from now at the very least, and THEN you'll have to do more waiting while your application just hangs in there with everything approved.

This is CIC ! anything is possible. I have seen applicants who's background check was claimed to have not started get completed in just over 2 weeks. Bear in mind that my background was completed as an individual candidate and I got PPR earlier which I declined to include my spouse; the only background and security being checked is for my spouse which I have been told has been ongoing since first week in February. If there is anything to go by, it is the fact that miracles do happen just like a classic real life example we saw yesterday

True, I'm just saying what I think is the most likely outcome based on what I've personally seen. Anything could happen indeed
