Well Montreal in general is extremely slow in processing Outland cases. Plus in my case they requested ADR to review my job responsibilities. I believe the officers who review initial files do not understand technical terms or specific terminology in your employment letter. All they try to do is map the NOC pre-defined job responsibilities with your employment or experience letter. In my case they were not able to determine if my job roles and responsibilities are same as per applied NOC. So they requested adr. Which I submitted immediately, but to review that as well they took almost 3 months.

You can track latest updates in your application by ordering gcms notes. This will help you understand what state your application is in or if there any review required that is causing delay.

But as I mentioned, Montreal is slow, so all you need to do is have patience and one fine day PPR email will come in your inbox.

Yes I have already applied for a GCMS notes on 1st October, 2019 but yet to receive it.

Hope they dont take long as wife is back home there and I cant do anything to expedite the process.

I added to my own wait by getting married during the application and adding wife later on so they have an excuse but its been 5 months adding wife now.

So only God knows when this wait will end.

Hope they come up with a decision before Christmas.

Eligibility : In progress since 12th September, 2019

If they haven't asked for remedical than chances are that they have extended your medical. Generally they extend it by a year.

You can't expect them to know technical jargons of every job that exists out there. Even someone working in same industry wouldn't know all the jargons so can't expect them to know. Best course of action is to keep the job reference letter as generic as possible so that even a layman can match it to NOC. Helps to have process a little faster although right now the process times are anyways slower.

In any case congrats that wait is over and all the best for next steps.

Hi people,
Outland application
ITA: May 15th
Aor: June 7th
VO: Montreal
I called the IRCC today and they said that they are waiting an officer to review the file. Background check is in progress, after seeing all the posts, I think it's too early for me to expect a PPR , is that true that Montreal VO is taking long for the application. Any way to expedite it?

If there was a way to expedite things, we would have all done so. But don't worry, all will be well!

I understand your frustration. I have been there. Montreal VO requires a lot of patience. Mine took 8.6 months. I would advise you to order GCMS notes if you haven’t done so. Sometimes GCMS notes help move your file forward. It is not always the case though. Good luck and praying that you receive PPR soon.
