Yes its the same as yours.

We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.

Thats since 17th March, 2019 but for you if its recently changed to that it means PPR is just a day or 2 away.

All the best!
I doubt it's same with Montreal VO but keeping hope high and staying positive :)

That does not seem to work with Montreal. I had the same status after AOR, then it changed to "your application is in progress" after biometrics on Jul-11. On Oct-06, it again changed to "We are processing your background check". No update after that.
Do let me know of you see any other ghost update

This thread barely gets any updates compared to other VO threads, just shows how efficient the Montreal VO is.

It's gonna be a long wait guys, those Montreal VO employees are probably going on long vacations soon due to Xmas and new year.

Today, I came to know through an agent that my application was transferred to Edmonton Office 3 months ago and regular processing times doesn't apply to me. Does anyone know how long Officers will take to process the application at Edmonton? Did this happen to anyone else?
I am in the same boat as you...last week I learnt my file has been transferred to Edmonton Office since August. Edmonton seems to be as slow as Montreal from the threads on Edmonton VO I read. Hopefully things will pick up there!

Can you please share the Edmonton VO link that you're talking about?

AOR: Feb 17
Med Passed: April 5
1st GCMS notes Program Assistant on April 5 R10 and RR for stat and client information
2nd GCMS notes: Nothing news except file transferred to Montreal on May 2
3rd GCMS notes : Eligibility started on July 18 by case analyst RR for stat questions
4GCMS notes : Nothing news on it expect address change
GCMS notes ordered October 5
Ghost update: October 11
Called IRCC on October 11: Agent said All assessments are passed
Called today and asked if a decision has been made on the application: Agent said Officer notes said that they are looking to approve the application. Agent said you will receive a notification in your account soon.
@cansha what does agent mean by “they are looking to approve the application” how long it takes to receive PPR from Montreal after “all assessments passed”?
Hey Holyange, would you be able to tell what your RR on stat questions was for? I have a similar review required and it is getting frustrating.

Hi Montreal, any PPR?

If you answer yes to any of these following questions you will get Reviewed Required for Statutory questions.
1)Have you ever been refused a visa or permit, denied entry or ordered to leave Canada or any other country?
2) Have you been refused refugee status, or an immigrant or permanent resident visa (including a Certificat de sélection du Québec (CSQ) or application to the Provincial nominee Program) or visitor or temporary resident visa, to Canada or any other country?

I haven't answered yes to either of those questions. I did, however, answer with a yes to one of the medical questions. Not sure why it should even affect my application considering that my medicals were long passed. Thinking of sending a second letter of explanation highlighting the situation if it would do any good.

That is weird. I did not know responding yes to a medical question will put a review required for statutory questions. What does your GCMS notes say ? Does it say that the review required was due to a statutory question ?

It's November now... I think the chances of getting PR this year are slim to none now. Montreal VO is just a dark hole for PR applications.

Yeah. Review required is on a statutory question. The case analyst even highlighted my response to that question. I keep getting told by the telephone agents that there's nothing I could do from my side but I am not quite sure.

When's your AOR? I do expect a decent chunk of PPRs for at least Feb, Mar, and Apr applicants before the end of the year.

Usually Review Required for statutory questions gets cleared by Senior officer when he picks up your file. The case analyst is just telling the officer to check it. I don’t think you should worry about it since your medical was passed.
